You are in some ways, it's just the republicans divert public funds to special interests instead. These red states also rely on CA tax dollars to fund their states.

You'd think with all that republican economic talk that these states would be booming! There's a reason blue states are wealthier than red states.

As I pointed out, states that have people on welfare.

I might also point out that Arizona and New Mexico are on that list primarily because they have very large Native American populations that live primarily on relatively isolated reservations.

Oh, and some of them are booming... Others, like Democrat bastion New Mexico, not so much...

Oh yes we are. Why on earth should NASA's rocket test facility be located in Huntsville AL? Why would Airbus propose to establish a production line for the A330 tanker in Mobile AL? Why should the US Navy contract to a shipyard located in New Orleans LA? Was it to buy votes from various Congressmen and Senators in whose districts those facilities are located?

            Talk about welfare . . . .

It wasn't all that long ago that the leading defense contractors were located in New York and Pennsylvania: General Electric, Grumman, Remington, Bethlehem Steel . . . . I'm sure that you severed aboard at least a couple of Bethlehem ships. You can't tell me that Avondale builds a better ship than Bethlehem, or that Lockheed-Martin builds a better Navy jet than Grumman, can you? If that isn't welfare -- corporate welfare AND political welfare -- then I don't know what is.

Net payments and receipts of Federal tax resources is what counts.

Right, because white people aren't on welfare. And they don't take the most money out of the govt. And they're not low educated conservatives either. Right? It isn't 'libruls' on welfare, it's conservatives when it comes to white people in the states.

There are plenty of countries in the world where "white people" are not the majority. Perhaps are "liberal" friends have a moral obligation to move to them to increase diversity. It isn't fair that some places don't enjoy the strength of diversity. When they have "enriched" them with diversity they can come back and tell us how it's done.

That's the truth. I'm white btw, so it's not racist.

Don't worry your standing on the list is safe.

The whole federal balance of payments discussion is hogwash as long as it includes retirement pay to retired federal workers and service members.

I've always found when talking about race in the United States, the person who got it right, and too many don't listen to what he has said, was Benjamin Franklin, who called it the American race.

Dr. King also got it right when he stated that people should be judged by the content of their character, and not the color of their skin.
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven; that which we are we are; One equal temper of heroic hearts
Made weak by time and fate but strong in will
To strive to seek to find and not to yield.
