  • A New Definition of 'Trump Derangement Syndrome'?

This is from way out in left field. Delusions of grandeur just doesn't cover it:

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/polit...cid=spartandhp

'President Trump on Sunday floated the possibility of staying in office longer than two terms, suggesting in a morning tweet that his supporters might “demand that I stay longer.”'

'The president, who will kick off his reelection campaign on Tuesday with an event in Orlando, has previously joked about serving more than two terms, including at an event in April, when he told a crowd that he might remain in the Oval Office “at least for 10 or 14 years.”'

'The 22nd Amendment of the Constitution limits the presidency to two terms.'

Trump couldn't care less about the Constitution...
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven; that which we are we are; One equal temper of heroic hearts
Made weak by time and fate but strong in will
To strive to seek to find and not to yield.

Would Trump yank the voters chain?

I have no doubt if he did, Arm Chair General Conservatives would find an excuse to back him.
Conservatives in the U.S. won't be happy until Jim Crow returns and "White Heterosexual Only" signs are legalized.

There is a video attached to the linked article; when did he tell the crowd that he might remain in the oval office for 10 to 14 years?

        Serious question.

BFD. Obama's supporters did the same exact thing. Even Obama unseriously quipped about it.

Massena, do you actually think Trump was serious? I remember when Obama was President and there were conservatives on this very forum who talked about Obama possibly becoming some sort of dictator and staying on beyond constitutional limits and his supporters possibly backing him. Such talk was ridiculous then and it is equally ridiculous now with reference to Trump.

Better to assume that now he is than find out later. The ridiculousness comes from Trump just as it always has. He has some major problems and I do doubt that he neither has read the Constitution nor understands that it is the law of the land.

Agree completely. Unfortunately, we have here a fanatical right wing element that agrees with Trump no matter what he does. Fanaticism of any sort is wrong.

                  And then we have this...

                  https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/polit...cid=spartandhp
'ABC News Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos embedded with President Donald Trump for a wide-ranging exclusive interview over the course of two days this week, generating a bevy of newsy headlines over the course of their unprecedented discussion.'

                  And the top five are:

-Trump says he'd listen to foreign intelligence on political opponents

-Trump says internal polling shows he's 'winning everywhere'

-Trump says it 'doesn't matter' what former White House Counsel Don McGahn told Mueller

-Trump reveals historic redesign of Air Force One

-Trump says of Fed Reserve chairman: 'I've waited long enough'

Along with accusing the Director of the FBI of being 'wrong' on the subject of foreign election assistance.

The bottom line is that Trump does not know what he is talking about.

OK sounds like fantasy...........Trump and Bolton declare war on Iran, Trump then announces that due to the latest war America has started the 2020 Elections are suspended until further notice, that leaves him CIC and your US Constitution is now invalid and he is then free to do as he wish's and picks up afew pointers from Putin and Little Kim..becoming Dictator for life..... Bolton has in the mean time found out that guns make a loud noise and has run off to hide in the hills like a loud mouth lier he is..

I remember the same thing was being said about the elections in 2004 with Bush the US checks and balances system makes it nearly impossible for a dictatorship to take over in their country.

Trump doesn't care about the constitution or the rule of law. And yes, his supporters will follow the führer no matter how illegal the action. Dark times in America.

And then we have who are supposed to be two adults behaving like adolescents in a middle school hallway...

                            https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/polit...cid=spartandhp

'Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., isn’t having any of President Trump’s concurrence.'

'After the president cheekily tweeted over the weekend that he agrees with her assessment there’s a “very real risk” he will win re-election in 2020 – and suggested that’s why Democrats use the “impeach card” – the progressive firebrand cited their mutual New York connection in hitting back.'

'“Mr. President, you’re from Queens. You may fool the rest of the country, but I’ll call your bluff any day of the week. Opening an impeachment inquiry is exactly what we must do when the President obstructs justice, advises witnesses to ignore legal subpoenas, & more. Bye,” she tweeted, capping it off with a hand-waving emoji.'

They deserve each other. Perhaps they could go to a tattoo artist together and each have an 'L' tattooed on their foreheads.
