• Not so secret agreement

To refuse to talk to the press about an agreement because "it's secret" whilst waving said agreement around so the press can photo it is either dumb or cynical - or perhaps both.

It's just more of the same-grand standing, a definite lack of veracity, and general incompetence. He is also proving that he is stupid.

More on Trump's habitual lying on his own behalf:

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/more-brutal-2020-poll-numbers-for-trump/ar-AACJk0s?ocid=spartandhp

'The New York Times just dropped a brutal story reporting that President Trump is instructing his aides to lie about his poor standing in internal polls. And a new poll just made their job much more difficult.'

'Quinnipiac University has for the first time conducted national head-to-head polls matching up Trump and some of the leading Democratic presidential hopefuls. None of the matchups is good for Trump.'

And why should we believe the polls from a liberal university provided by a liberal poster ?
And why should we believe the lies of the NYT ?

President Trump, not being a politician, is not and does not need to abide by the rules and conventions of what one would call
"normal" politico behavior. To expect him to bend to the will of the beltway insiders is foolish.

I'm not so sure. Mujica lacks the two things you need for that: Political connections in high places in Mexico, and large piles of cash. Instead, he's likely to find the government bleeding him dry of the later while avoiding any of the former. His treatment will only be as good as the cash his organization and supporters can funnel to the federales.

I hope you're right. Maybe that's why they arrested him - they can get by with it because he's not a major player.

Unfortunately, Mexico has no credibility whatsoever in this area, being one of the most corrupt nations in the Americas, so we'll just have to see how it plays out.
