    https://www.cnn.com/2019/05/30/polit...ump/index.html
'The White House Military Office and lower-level US Navy officials exchanged emails about moving the Navy warship the USS John McCain ahead of President Donald Trump's recent Japan visit, according to two Navy officials.'
'"There were emails between lower-level officers, but once leadership heard about it, they said knock it off," a senior Navy official tells CNN. The White House Military Office provides military support for White House functions, including food service, presidential transportation, medical support and emergency medical services and hospitality services.'

'The White House asked Navy officials to obscure the USS John S. McCain while President Trump was visiting Japan, Pentagon and White House officials said Wednesday night.'

'A senior Navy official confirmed he was aware someone at the White House sent a message to service officials in the Pacific requesting that the USS John McCain be kept out of the picture while the president was there. That led to photographs taken Friday of a tarp obscuring the McCain name, said the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation.'

'President Donald Trump denied Wednesday night that he knew anything about a reported White House request that the military move the USS John S. McCain "out of sight"
during his recent state visit to Japan
    .'

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/na...cid=spartanntp

'Despite preliminary discussions to the contrary, U.S. Navy leaders decided not to cover up the name of the USS John S. McCain, as requested by the White House, prior to President Donald Trump's visit to Japan, U.S. officials told ABC News.'

'In a tweet on Wednesday night, Trump denied having any information about the request after a report by The Wall Street Journal, later confirmed by The Associated Press, that a White House email to military officials had requested that it "move out of sight" during the president's visit to the U.S. Naval base in Yokosuka, Japan, on Monday.'

Moved earth and heaven; that which we are we are; One equal temper of heroic hearts
Made weak by time and fate but strong in will
To strive to seek to find and not to yield.

Nobody claimed that it was moved or obscured. What is claimed is that there was a request that it would be moved or obscured. Trump himself confirms that such a request was made

"I would never do a thing like that," he said. "Now, someone did it, because they thought I didn't like him. OK? And, they were well meaning, I will say."

He added: "They thought they were doing me a favour because they know I'm not a fan of John McCain."

So the only thing in dispute is who made the request - Trump or someone toadying up to him?

The liberals claimed that the WH (implying : Trump ) requested that the ship would be moved out of sight .Which is a lie , because if the potus requested to move the ship, the ship would be moved . AS the ship was not moved, there was no request from the WH .Besides, how would the WH know that the ship was where she was ?

The ship is named for Sen. McCain's grandfather, an honored and highly decorated WW2 naval officer.

Given that Trump accepts that the request was made - where else could it come from than the WH?

It is interesting to see how willing people are to sacrifice their values and dignity in the name of partisanship.

The ship in question -- USS John S McCain (DDG-56) --

was originally named after John S. McCain, Sr., and John S. McCain, Jr.,[2] both admirals in the United States Navy. John S. McCain, Sr. commanded the aircraft carrier USS Ranger, and later the Fast Carrier Task Force during the latter stages of World War II. John S. McCain, Jr. commanded the submarines USS Gunnel and USS Dentuda during World War II. He subsequently held a number of posts, rising to Commander-in-Chief of the United States Pacific Command, before retiring in 1972. These men were, respectively, the grandfather and father of Senator John S. McCain III.[4]

On 11 July 2018, at a rededication ceremony, Senator John McCain was added as a namesake, along with his father and grandfather.

Because that's how he rolls. CNN posts lies and he dutifully posts them here, (its a obsession thing ). I personally think that he gets a kick out of attacking trump here. It's a troll the conservatives thing.
