  • ‘Playing Catch-Up in the Game of Life.’ Millennials Approach Middle Age in Crisis

A great challenge faces the USA.

American millennials are approaching middle age in worse financial shape than every living generation ahead of them, lagging behind baby boomers and Generation X despite a decade of economic growth and falling unemployment.

Its a straightforward issue. The USA is in need today of an innovator such as Henry Ford. Look at what high college costs and getting away from a strong middle and upper class economy has got The USA we are in a struggle. If the factory jobs do not come back in huge numbers, it will only get worse. Today Americans in there 20s and 30s do not have the same opportunity that Americans in the past had.

Some people erroneously view those whom care about factory jobs as socialists or Communists. In fact its a Christian value to have a system that great wealthy men such as Henry Ford Set up...a system where upon the middle and upper class can thrive to incredible heights

You've got several different issues going on in your OP. Which one do you want to discuss first?

Times are very different than n Henry Ford's day. OSHA would have shut down Ford in a day, if the EPA didn't close him down first.

Yes, we need jobs, but given that we insist on paying manual laborers the same or greater salaries than our college professors, and that our CEO's make over 400 times the average wage of their employees, it isn't going to happen because it can't afford to. That's something else Ford did not have to contend with.

As for opportunities, they are always there, but largely unrecognized by young people who have had everything given to them since the day they were born. Hard work teaches one to recognize ways to things better, not playing video games and cruising the malls.

And remember to thank the Democrats, who block every effort to create new industries and new jobs...because it;s Trump.

As long as anti-Americans like the Democrats block everything, you need to get used to nothin good happening.

In a way they are getting what they asked for. Equity usually means less for everyone because redistribution doesn't add value, diversity means depressed wages because of an excess labor supply, and inclusion is the enemy of merit. That doesn't mean I have no sympathy for them, after all they did not choose social justice indoctrination as their primary educational experience.

Millinnials have legitimate complaints. The baby boomers have proven to be one of the most self absorbed generation. They sounded very idealistic but it was largely smoke and mirrors designed to fool themselves as much as anyone else. Protest, smoke pot and have sex turned into vote liberal, indulge in your children smothering them, pursue your career instead of family, buy the biggest house you can't afford, take vacations you can't afford and complain constantly while enjoying the greatest luxury any people have ever enjoyed. Obama was certainly right when he said "you didn't build that" if he was addressing his and a slightly older generation of liberals. One of the great ironies of millennial success icons such as Zuckerberg and Jack Dorsey is that they built their empires on the back of military, industrial investment their parents protested.

The big lie as relates to the world millinnials inherited is a "post industrial economy" in which everyone can borrow a hundred thousand dollars on a non education in some social justice influenced degree and get a job. Even if they get a degree in something useful their parents sold them out to China to get cheap stuff and export pollution. The harm done to them isn't just in the immediate but the disconnect from the industrial nature of reality means they have no concept of what deteriorating infrastructure means. They are adrift in a world with no anchor to reality because their parents had little connection to reality themselves.
