    The 4 page letter wasn't a summary.

Other than parroting your "Fake News" hyperbole, could you please cite something in the letter that contradicts the report?

I have posted no hyperbole. Read the letter, then take a look at the report. The section of the letter regarding obstruction of justice does not match the report-it's quite different.

Why do you and others defend corruption?

If there was no crime committed how can you obstruct criminal investigations?
Dispite our best intentions, the system is dysfunctional that intelligence failure is guaranteed.

By preventing anyone from determining if there was or wasn't a crime. The act of obstruction, however, indicates that in all probability there was a rime.

According to the democrats "it's the economy stupid ".
and now that impeachment is becoming more likely I have to ask
                just what does impeachment mean?
Billy Cigar Clinton was impeached and nothing happened to him, it was a footnote so accordingly, it means nothing.
oh that's right, he was a Democrat,

If the Dems want to start a civil war, that would be the way to proceed. It would look like an outright coup, and people won't stand for that. It would in all likelihood cancel out Posse Commitatus by invoking the "enemies foreign and domestic" clause contained in all military oaths of service.

The person advocating dividing the country is Trump. All you have to do is listen to what he says at his 'rallies.' And the civil war nonsense that you and others here are 'advocating' or perhaps wishing for is absolute nonsense.

Do you actually know what a 'coup' is? There is none happening in the United States. Impeachment isn't a 'coup.' It is provided for in the Constitution.

                    Definition of 'coup':

                    Coup:

-a brilliant, sudden, and usually highly successful stroke or act

                    Coup d'etat:

                    -
a sudden decisive exercise of force in politics.

                    -
the violent overthrow or alteration of an existing government by a small group

You have no idea what you're talking about. There is no one that is planning a violent overthrow of the US government.

Trump, however, mentioned being continued as president for more than two terms, which is illegal, and is now accusing the FBI of treason, which is false.

And some of you continue to support this guy?

If Trump was half the man he thinks he is, he would ignore the uproar, stop tweeting and do his job. Unfortunately, he'll do neither.

                      https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/polit...cid=spartandhp

'President Donald Trump went off on Twitter Wednesday morning about the chorus of Democratic calls to bring forth impeachment proceedings against him, claiming that Democrats want a "DO OVER" of special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation.'

'"Everything the Democrats are asking me for is based on an illegally started investigation that failed for them, especially when the Mueller Report came back with a NO COLLUSION finding," Trump tweeted. "Now they say Impeach President Trump, even though he did nothin wrong, while they 'fish!'"'

'"After two years of an expensive and comprehensive Witch Hunt, the Democrats donít like the result and they want a DO OVER," he added in another tweet. "In other words, the Witch Hunt continues!"'

Going back to the question posed in the OP, think back to previous events that exposed FBI "surveillance " operations on American politicians.
We all remember "filegate" when FBI confidential records on prominent Republicans somehow ended up in the possession of the Clinton White House.
The Starr report focused on who on the Clintons staff obtained the files. But why is the FBI running surveillance operations on politicians in the first place?
Background checks are one thing, many of us have had FBI background checks for employment purposes, but these files went much further.
                          J. Edgar Hoover was notorious for collecting dirt on business leaders, members of the press, and politicians. Of course we have been lead to believe that was in the past,
But filegate should have resulted in an investigation into the FBI as well as the Clinton White House.
Under what article of the Constitution is the FBI authorised to spy on American citizens?
Dispite our best intentions, the system is dysfunctional that intelligence failure is guaranteed.
