        You are incorrect.

        Christ founded his Church during his lifetime, built upon Peter who is recognized as the first Pope by the Catholic Church. And this was the first Christian religion, all other Christian religions breaking off from it, beginning with the Great Schism between Rome and Constantinople in 1054. The Protestant religions (plural) came into existence during the Protestant Reformation when they broke with Rome.
