  • The Mueller Report

Here's what was in the newly released Mueller report

The report said that there was not enough evidence to bring criminal charges against Trump campaign associates
    ...
On Thursday, the Department of Justice released Special Counsel Robert Mueller's 400-page report, which had been more than two years in the making. Here are some of the highlights. The report seems to largely back up Attorney General William Barr's summary.

Mueller DID NOT find any prosecutable criminal activity between those on the Trump campaign and Russia

    According to the report:
[W]hile the investigation identified numerous links between individuals with ties to the Russian government and individuals associated with the Trump Campaign, the evidence was not sufficient to support criminal charges....Further, the evidence was not sufficient to charge that any member of the Trump Campaign conspired with representatives of the Russian government to interfere in the 2016 election.

He DID find evidence of people near the Trump campaign lying to the Department of Justice and to Congress

The report did find that "several individuals affiliated with the Trump Campaign lied to the Office [of the Special Counsel], and to Congress, about their interactions with Russian-affiliated individuals and related matters. Those lies materially impaired the investigation of Russian election interference." Mueller specifically called out Former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, campaign operative George Papadopoulos, former-Trump lawyer Michael Cohen, and former-Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort for lying during the investigation. This information had already been publicly known.

While Cohen, Manafort, and Papadopoulos all ended up facing jail time, they did so either because they lied under oath or because of past actions they had taken before they joined the Trump campaign.

let me step in and say if the name attached was Clinton people in this forum would be saying lock her up.

are people gonna be dumb enough to use this as a standard Mueller DID NOT find any prosecutable criminal activity between those on the Trump campaign and Russia

if it was tax returns or something else sure that might be workable standard But basically a president could commit treason and get away with it. Because it would not be prosecutable. Hell Jesse Smollet was not prosecutable.

bah sorry for the bolding it got out of control

Are you really trying to argue that the tax returns would have evidence of treason?
Do you think there is a line item that where trump disclosed "Cash From Russia for treason"?

Is Mueller suddenly an incompetent who can't find evidence of what he is looking for except in tax returns?
You sound like a conspiracy theorist. There is always just one more thing that is being hidden that will expose the whole crime.

In order to prosecute treason, they need to find evidence of it.
The fact of the matter is mueller was investigating a conspiracy.
Evidence of a conspiracy with russians would never be found in tax returns, or in trump's secret vaults.
That evidence would be found in agreements entered into with russians and acts by trump in furtherance of that agreement.
        And Mueller found nothing

Since you are convinced trump committed treason, please share the proof.

I would dare to opine that if the name was Clinton, that Mueller would either be dead or his report would have some damning evidence. But regardless, if there's not evidence to prosecute, there's not evidence to prosecute.

are people gonna be dumb enough to use this as a standard Mueller DID NOT find any prosecutable criminal activity between those on the Trump campaign and Russia

Correct. No Prosecutable Criminal Activity. Or in other words, nothing that they could indict or move forward on a prosecution with.

The Standards are as follows and have always been as follows, unless you're a political operative:

Reasonable Suspicion - Suspicion sufficient to initiate an investigation.

Probable Cause - Evidence sufficient to obtain a warrant or indictment for a criminal act

Preponderance of the Evidence - Evidence sufficient to obtain a civil judgement

Proof Beyond a Reasonable Doubt - Evidence sufficient to convict in criminal court.

Stand by for the Left to condemn our Justice System, the constitution (again) and demands that everyone accused now be forced to prove their innocence instead of the Govt having to prove their guilt.

Clinton was guilty of obvious "crimes" for which other people would have been "locked up" and have been for less blatant abuses of security protocols. As it turns out the people that were pointing this out were right in believing that not only is their a double standard in the ways laws are enforced but their was an actual conspiracy in the Obama administration to "spy" on the opposition.

The left of course is shameless because "by any means necessary". There is apparently no depth of corruption to low for them to stoop to in their quest for power including doing away with innocent until proven guilty. The report proves beyond a doubt that the henchmen on the Mueller team have no respect for the principles on which common law is based. As in Stalinist Russia the motto of the left should be "show me the man and I will show you the crime". For the most part they are as degenerate as their hero Marx.

In a fair world every left leaning mainstream media outlet that engaged in the Trump Russia conspiracy theory should be banned from social media the way that Alex Jones was. I'm no fan of Alex Jones but the damage he did is small compared to the damage high level intelligence officials at the Justice Department, FBI and CIA did by abusing their authority to create the Trump Russia conspiracy theory.

                  Impressive!

The Deep State threw everything they had at Trump and they couldn't get anything to stick to him. They weaponized the FBI, DoJ, CIA, heck every alphabet was involved in the failed coup!

Even Trump's children are clear of any wrongdoing. I'm beyond impressed.

The report said that Trump cannot be cleared of criminal activity.

And of course trumps associates are in jail or awaiting trial people such as Paul Manafort.

H Clinton , GWB and Obama did not face these types of controversies as Trump did. And of course at the same time these politicians never talked or acted like Donald Trump does today.

Trump Said ‘I’m ****ed’ After Special Counsel’s Appointment: Mueller Report

President Trump has long claimed that he had nothing to fear from Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation—but according to an anecdote in the report, he was terrified when he found out Mueller was appointed. When former Attorney General Jeff Sessions told Trump that Mueller had been appointed on May 17, 2017, Trump reportedly responded, “Oh my God. This is terrible. This is the end of my presidency. I’m ****ed,” before ripping into Sessions for recusing himself from the investigation.

Only God knows if Trump is guilty. The Muller report has not exonerated Trump.

and it’s only a few Trumper’s continuously complain about GWB , H Clinton or Obama and none of them are facing the scrutiny that Trump is facing.

GOP and Democrats want to get to the bottom of this issue with Trump

Trump is now dealing with controversy As did Richard Nixon and as did Bill Clinton

Um, they did “get to the bottom” of it and found there was nothing there.
Did you know that the Mueller report also did not exonerate trump from the 9/11 attacks?

The goal of a criminal investigation is not to “exonerate” the subject any more than its goal is to cure cancer. The investigation was to determine if there was any evidence to support the charges of “conspiracy” or even “obstruction”. That investigation failed to find any evidence to support either claim.
As a result, Trump remains innocent. That is kind of how the law works here.
So, claiming the report “did not exonerate” merely demonstrates ignorance or bias on your part.
And only God knows which is correct.
