  • Putin threatening to station nuclear weapons off US coastlines.

Putin says he's ready to start another Cuban missile crisis by having their Navy deploy regularly Missile and Cruise missile Subs off the US coastlines if the US counters with Russia breaking the 1987 Intermediate range nuclear forces treaty with missiles and cruise missiles designed to hit Europe by deploying missiles and cruise missiles of their own in Europe to defend NATO countries.
Russia cannot win an arms race with the US today they'll be sorry if they do try to.

Why when Venezuela is working with Iran on a base for them already. It's a better strategic location to threaten not just the US, but the (Chinese leased) Panama Canal, South American nations, as well as the US. Being further from the US also makes it harder to blockade or otherwise interdict.

Jeez, so this is the routine now?

Taking the reasons that Trump is dumping the deal (they are cheating) and then blaming Trump for them cheating, as if the timeline means nothing?

Idiotic, I have no other word for them.

Idiocy of the people more than the government. Putin's posturing is for his electorate. They're dumb enough to believe it. Strategically he's still gaming on Western weakness and hoping the peace at any price crowd will cave even if Trump doesn't. Realistically he knows that no matter how hypersonic his missiles are, if he fires them his civilization ceases to exist. And the Navy can track any rusty clunker they put into the water. He knows that too. The rhetoric is for the sheep. The posturing is for the politicians. The nukes are for show.

Do the Russians even have any subs that can maintain that long of a patrol?
Any man can hold his place when the bands play and women throw flowers; it is when the enemy presses close and metal shears through the ranks that one can acertain which are soldiers, and which are not.

Ground forces cover much of Venezuela and friendly country's just of it's cost.

China leases the Canal??? Not according to google and Panama is not in South America. It is considered Central America which is considered part of NA

Rope-a-dope...Putin needs to distract from his own double dealings. The first step it to always blame the other guy.

They don't have to. It's called "honoring the threat." By simply declaring that it is so, we have to expend huge amounts of money and forces just to prove it isn't.

Maybe we need to pt the SAC bombers back to orbiting their fail-safe points, just to remind Putin of those "good old days".

Oh, but this is part of the Grand Conspiracy of Trump being the stooge of the Russians. Trump is acting like he is being aggressive to and anti-Russian in order to give them the provocation they need to escalate the threat to the USA and eventually crush us.

And do what with them? It is not like he dare use them MAD assures his own death.

To me it is a demonstration of Putin's (and Russia's) weakness. About all he can really accomplish is to occasionally jump out of the dark and cry "Boo!"
