If you ask me, the Democrats have gone too far to the left. Nominating someone like Sanders is going to get Trump re-elected. I despise the guy, I would curse him out to his his face if he walked down my street but the far-left radicals are just as scary. We have radicals on the far right (Trump and co.) and we have radicals on the far-left (Sanders, Warren, Ocasio Cortez, Ilhan Omar, etc) and there's nobody in the sensible middle. We need a centrist alternative to the Democrats and Republicans, a party of solutions that gets things done.

Don't be dismissive: if the dead can vote (for Democrats), why can't they run?
Any man can hold his place when the bands play and women throw flowers; it is when the enemy presses close and metal shears through the ranks that one can acertain which are soldiers, and which are not.

Bernie ran as a Democrat, not an Independent.

Maybe if they hadn't tried to screw him over, more of his supporters would have voted for Hillary.

The time of the Centrists is over : The RINOs ( = Republican centrists, because there are no Democratic centrists ) are as responsible for the present situation,as are the Democrats, because these cowards have cooperated with the Democrats when they dominated Congress .
And, Trump does not belong to the far-right : Trump is a populist .He became GOP candidate because the GOP voters felt betrayed by the GOP centrist establishment, by McCain, by Romney.
