Not as bad as Hillary but still crooked. It would be painful to watch Ivanka be charged while Hillary got off scot free.

        Okay, Ivanka did this:

"While transitioning into government... Ms. Trump sometimes used her private account, almost always for logistics and scheduling concerning her family," said the spokesman, Peter Mirijanian.
        (from the OP article)

That means she used a private account some while getting into her government position. That seems reasonable given that it was a transition period. Since the e-mails were turned over later and nothing was classified, that seems a reasonable use.

On the other hand, Hillary set up a personal e-mail server specifically to handle her e-mail while SoS outside of government control, and she knowingly did that despite years of government service and knowing the rules. There is no way that an ex-First Lady for eight years, then a Senator, then a SoS, couldn't know what the government requirements for electronic communications were. None.

She also used that e-mail server for years and as her primary method of electronics communications in that medium. She made ZERO attempt to use the proper government server system(s) and didn't even bother to get the mandatory training the State Department required on handling classified and electronic communications.

In other words, Hillary deliberately and with criminal intent set up and used an illegal means of electronic communications while SoS. She is a serial felon, end of story.

Lock her up? I don't think so. That would be both stupid and ridiculous.

          However, it is quite hypocritical.

Half the idiots in Washington probably violate security protocols. It's almost certain that the moron Debbie Wasserman Shultz allowed the Awan family to violate security procedures. I'm sure the Republicans are little better. Incompetent and irresponsible best characterizes are "representatives". That is why I don't take too seriously the claim that Trump represents a new low for government officials. You can put lipstick on a pig but it is still a pig.

I was unhappy that Trump brought his family into government with him. I'm unhappy that I have to see the first lady or know anything about her. We don't need the trappings of royalty, royalty is the insane version of nepotism. The president is not my daddy, my inspiration, my moral guide, my emperor, or the representative of my virtues. Presidential worship got totally out of hand with the Kennedy Camelot BS. I didn't vote for these people and it is simply ridiculous to think that by family affiliation they are qualified to work at the Whitehouse or represent me in anyway.

Now we see why business and family attachments don't work. They create endless vulnerabilities, distractions, and prejudices. The president is an executive and we as the board of trustees need to demand that they keep their private life private. The president's family needs to be seen and not heard and the press can go worship the inbred royalty in Britain.

Prosecute the Royal Clintons and the other ruling elite who have committed crimes?
You consider that to be ridiculous?

So you would like to see Miss Trump prosecuted?

And I didn't mention the Clintons.

Who else would you like to see prosecuted?

Look where the major FU Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and 34 other Democrats in the House made using the Awan family as their IT specialists. Can you say major spy ring... But, that was another Democrat fiasco with computers so it doesn't count.

Let's prosecute all of them while we're at it and flip the House back to being Republican controlled...

If Ivanka committed a criminal offense she should be prosecuted.
                    Same goes for Crooked Hillary
Same goes for Hillary's staff that destroyed government property or gave false statements to investigators.
And yes, the same goes for President Sniffy if he broke the law.

No one should be above the law, but I doubt any of us will live to see the day when those in high office, political or civil, will be routinely convicted of their crimes.

Um I love all the Ivanka defenders. Until the investigation is done your defenses all line up with what Hillary said at some point.

Overall I do not see this as a big deal except Her dad was the one chanting lock her up.

On the other hand Trump had lost his phone at some point on a golf cart.

"While transitioning into government... Ms. Trump sometimes used her private account, almost always for logistics and scheduling concerning her family," said the spokesman, Peter Mirijanian.

Mirijanian stressed that no classified information was transmitted in the messages, that no emails were deleted and that the emails have since been "retained" in conformity with records laws.

"When concerns were raised in the press 14 months ago, Ms. Trump reviewed and verified her email use with White House Counsel and explained the issue to congressional leaders," he said.

The discovery was prompted by public records requests from the liberal watchdog group American Oversight. The group's executive director, Austin Evers, said in a statement that "The president's family is not above the law," and he called on Congress to investigate.

                            Also, from the original WaPo article;
                            ....
And he stressed that her email use was different from that of Clinton, who had a private email server in the basement of her Chappaqua, N.Y., home. At one point, an archive of thousands of Clinton’s emails was deleted by a computer specialist amid a congressional investigation.

“Ms. Trump did not create a private server in her house or office, no classified information was ever included, the account was never transferred at Trump Organization, and no emails were ever deleted,” Mirijanian said.

Like Trump, Clinton also said she was unaware of or misunderstood the rules. However, Clinton relied solely on a private email system as secretary of state, bypassing government servers entirely.
