I so wish the ignore list worked...
    Credo quia absurdum.

Quantum mechanics describes nature as absurd from the point of view of common sense. And yet it fully agrees with experiment. So I hope you can accept nature as She is - absurd! - Richard Feynman

I am not confused at all, I didn't bring up Trump, (you did as usual) I merely stated that I don't trust our media, that's all!

I am 74 and when I first became recognizant of the news I knew it was always slanted to the Left, but I accepted it as News, but now it is no longer News, it is just biased Opinion Pieces worthy of the National Enquirer (of which I used to make fun of in the 80s), I don't believe anything that is written any more without a POUND of Salt!

I'm there with you. But the NASA channel is very good and the Smithsonian channel is reliable.

Your examples think they can define not only "the news" but reality. That's one major start point for distrust of the MSM.

            Then there's a blatant example such as this headline;

Inside the Trump Administration's Chaotic Effort to Reunite Migrant Families

            https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/in...i3b?li=BBnbcA1

The correct term is "ILLEGAL Aliens", i.e. criminal law breakers entering this country without proper documentation, passport/visa, without official permission, etc. Few are doing such as temporary workers(planning to return to nation of origin when the season or job is done), a.k.a. "migrant", most tend to stay here(when not deported), often scamming our economic and "welfare" systems, and making little effort to assimilate.

Question is if most of the MSM is really so ignorant, or just blatant liars?

I listen to these liberal professors who have become victims of the monster they helped create and it is clear that they do not see the connection between socialism and the lack of individual responsibility. Group identity is not a substitute for individual dignity and consciousness.
Several months ago I finally got around to reading Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged". While the technology details and implications in the plot were a bit dated compared to now, the social demographic trend was clear. Since that book was written, the portion of society that could be classified as "looters", to use her term, has grown, likely near doubled.

We have way too many people here with no clue or desire regarding personal accountability or being productive combined with little to no guilt about their part in stealing from those whom are productive.

I tried to read it but it is just painful, Rand is pointing out the obvious within a limited frame of reference. I agree with Jordan Peterson's reading list.

I'm less of a fan of Jung than he is but he has convinced me there is more to Nietzsche than I thought.

We should discuss Rand and looting in detail I guess but I'm not feeling clever enough.

The latest of STUPID reporting in the fake news media.

                    1. "A parasite in cat poop can make you more sucuessful." That is a lawsuit waiting to happen given that the parasite in question can cause very dangerous health issues to new born babies or a woman that is pregnant.

                    2. "Latest teen craze, dumping boiling water on them or drinking it with a straw." The headline was totally misleading. The teen was pranked by one of his friends dumping boiling water on him as he slept. That prank was a felony, not a teen craze.
                    “Breaking News,”

“Something irrelevant in your life just happened and now we are going to blow it all out of proportion for days to keep you distracted from what's really going on.”

Interesting poll call this evening. They asked a few generic questions to start then asked which Democrat would I prefer for governor. When I answered essentially "none" the call abruptly ended.
