The man walked into the restaurant , shot 2 people and left. If this man never had access to a gun in the first place, maybe those people wouldn't be shot, and he wouldn't be dead.

He did prevent the shooter from going to prison. Thanks guy for saving taxpayers all that money housing a useless POS for the rest of his life!

It's just funny to me how people get up and arms when an immigrant commits a crime, but will continue to gloss over shooting after shooting and even present them as something positive. Some sick people.

Well no, but only because he wasn't located in a position to do so. If he had been, he likely would've. But, he also may have prevented the shooter from killing more people, or shooting the victims he had shot again, thereby killing them.

Did a magic ball tell you that the shooter would not have continued his shooting spree?

You can't get rid of guns, even if you came to the conclusion a gun-free society would be morally/socially better.

When liberals say they want to get rid of guns, it's like Obama saying we'll have world peace by appeasing Iran, Isis, and Russia. It's like whn Obama said we'll have the best economy possible when we increase regulations and "redisribute" wealth. Sure, world peace and a strong economy is what everyone wants, but the liberal method is totally unfeasible. It's the same with guns.

Which has been shown time and time again to be the exact opposite.

You don't know that. The two worst mass murders in US history were both perpetrated without firearms: 9/11, and the Happy Land Social Club, in which some eighty people were killed with nothing more than a can of gasoline and a book of matches.

                        https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Happy_Land_fire

Matter of fact, I'll go out on a limb here and state plainly that, in our "copy-cat" society, if there were another Happy Land fire tomorrow, I guarantee that a dozen just like it would follow every week for the next month and a half. Clearly that pattern has been established with school shootings, just as it was with Post Office shootings, just as it was with teen suicides, etc, etc, etc. It's frankly predictable.

So, this man can read minds? If he had been 5 feet away, likely they would still be shot, he just would have been dead 'before' leaving instead of after.

True enough. People will always find a way. However, on an annual basis how many people die by guns or die by gasoline and a book of matches?

When you do your calculation, don't forget to include today's school shooting.

I never said he would or would not. It's possible he prevented additional shootings, though unlikely. He walked into a restaurant, pulled out a gun, shot a mother and daughter sitting together and left. What does that tell you? Don't need a magic ball for that.
