  • Ridiculing an American Olympian...

American skier Linsay Vonn was ridiculed on twitter yesterday. This type of behavior is unacceptable, especially as it is politically driven...

We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven; that which we are we are; One equal temper of heroic hearts
Made weak by time and fate but strong in will
To strive to seek to find and not to yield.

Politically driven by Lindsey herself. She set the stage last December.

        Another very poor excuse.

Just because you can do a thing, it doesn't mean that you have to.

Those who tweeted should have shown a little class. So should you.

So the facts don't matter. Nothing new.

And Lindsey didn't have to make the comments she did. Maybe she should have shown some class herself. However, she decided to put herself on the political stage.

I have no opinion on her performance.

She started this by using her temporary celebrity status to ridicule Trump. That got her a $h!+ storm of the same right back in her face. If you want to play be prepared for the splash back.

But, no, now she's whining that people are being mean to her. She should have stuck to skiing.

If those words meant anything to you, you would have closed your Trump file thread long ago.

Liberals attempting to admonish others for an apparent lack of class. The irony and hypocrisy are both hilariously obvious.

                        Why?

Trump continues to lie publicly and is an embarrassment to the United States. He is both inept and incompetent and is under criminal investigation along with his administration.

He's the worst president in US history and that shouldn't be talked about or discussed?

                        You've got to be kidding.

                        The following is excellent advice:

‘The President is merely the most important among a large number of public servants. He should be supported or opposed exactly to the degree which is warranted by his good conduct or bad conduct, his efficiency or inefficiency in rendering loyal, able, and disinterested service to the Nation as a whole. Therefore it is absolutely necessary that there should be full liberty to tell the truth about his acts, and this means that it is exactly necessary to blame him when he does wrong as to praise him when he does right. Any other attitude in an American citizen is both base and servile. To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public. Nothing but the truth should be spoken about him or anyone else. But it is even more important to tell the truth, pleasant or unpleasant, about him than about any one else.’
                        -Theodore Roosevelt

And all of us must remember that 'evil triumphs when good men do nothing.'-Edmund Burke

Apparently you and the other Trump supporters on this forum are content to have evil triumph and for our nation to be undermined by people who either support our enemies or are content to leave our enemies to do as they wish.

                              She didn't even medal.

She should have won first, then talked tough.
Any man can hold his place when the bands play and women throw flowers; it is when the enemy presses close and metal shears through the ranks that one can acertain which are soldiers, and which are not.
