  • White House proposes path to citizenship for 1.8 million people

So much for the democrats wanting a pathway to citizenship for 800,000. Trump is offering 1.8 million....if they authorize funding for the wall. So do the democrats say no....???:

President Donald Trump is proposing giving 1.8 million young undocumented immigrants a pathway to citizenship in exchange for $25 billion for his long-promised wall and a host of other strict immigration reforms, according to a White House framework proposed Thursday.

Trump could offer the Commie-crats every plank in the Communist Manifesto in exchange for "$25 billion for his long-promised wall and a host of other strict immigration reforms" and the Democrats would balk.

He has really put them in a tight spot....no way for them to win.....in an election year..

Do they say yes to a pathway for citizenship for 1.8 million which means yes to funding the wall...or do they say no..

Literally... The Democrats have no cards to play, at all... And they're too fracking stupid to realize it.

Starting to happen..."a white supremacist ransom note":

Immigration activists blasted the plan for ending family reunification, and vowed to oppose it.

"They think that by offering up a spoonful of sugar — relief for Dreamers — they can get Congress and the American people to swallow the bitter medicine of radical nativism," Frank Sharry, founder of America's Voice, an immigration rights group. "We are going to fight this tooth and nail."

United We Dream Advocacy Director Greisa Martínez Rosas, who would be a DACA beneficiary, went further in a statement.

"Let's call this proposal for what it is: a white supremacist ransom note," she said. "Trump and Stephen Miller killed DACA and created the crisis that immigrant youths are facing. They have taken immigrant youth hostage, pitting us against our own parents, Black immigrants and our communities in exchange for our dignity."

The ACLU also did not pull any punches, saying that "the only community that benefits from this supposed generosity are white supremacists."

The nonprofit advocacy organization added that the "proposal is clearly an effort to sabotage bipartisan talks on the issue by continuing to put issues on the table that are non-starters."

They have to be forced to admit that there would be no immigration problem if there was no social problems in the country of origin. It is not racist to point out the problems other countries have. It is racist to imply that the only way people south of the border can escape poverty and gang violence is to migrate to a country they suggest is not only white majority but who's racist policies are responsible for all that is wrong.

And leftists still claim that Trump is stupid... He's played a game of chess with them on this subject and now seems to easily have them in checkmate.

Trump immigration plan hits wall of opposition
BY SCOTT WONG AND RAFAEL BERNAL - 01/26/18

President Trump's immigration plan is running into heavy opposition on and off Capitol Hill, suggesting the much-anticipated framework has failed to move the needle as a bipartisan group of senators try to negotiate a deal.

Trump’s one-page framework calls for granting a pathway to citizenship for nearly 2 million young immigrants in exchange for tens of billions of dollars for his border wall and other policies that would dramatically restrict legal immigration in the coming years.

The president wants the Senate to draft legislation based on his blueprint and introduce it by Feb. 5, just three days before funding for the government runs out.

But the day-old plan is already taking heavy fire from both the right and the left.

For the bipartisan gang of 20 senators trying to hammer out an agreement to protect the "Dreamers," it’s clear the Trump outline — intended as an olive branch to Democrats — gets them no closer to a deal. One of the key negotiators of the group, Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), warned that Trump’s plan places the White House’s "hardline immigration agenda … on the backs of these young people."

                    [...]

But for the most part, conservative outside groups, members of the House Freedom Caucus and other vocal immigration hard-liners all panned the White House plan, saying providing a path to citizenship for 1.8 million “Dreamers” amounted to “mass amnesty” for law breakers.

This means that there won't be a DACA deal before February 8 and Chucky Schmucky Schumer will be right back where he was a week ago... Shutting down the government for illegal aliens... And Trump yanks the ball away again.

What Trump is offering is a twelve year path to citizenship during which time the DACA's work hard, pay their taxes and stay out of trouble. In other words, they have to earn it for twelve years without a screw up.

Sounds fair to me, especially since a lot of American citizens can't make it twelve years without screwing up a lot.

I'm still waiting, as are millions of other Americans, for the Democrats to offer a solution instead of just blocking everything and holding give-away parties.
