The easiest way to charge politicians in sanctuary cities is to slap a conspiracy charge on them for harboring or shielding illegals. That makes them part of a larger group doing this. Most could be found guilty simply on their public actions and statements.

      "Caliban" eh?
      I like it.

Look, the entire State Govt is basically a gang of Trolls down there.
They will keep pushing and pushing and pushing, until they get what they are so desperate for; and armed confrontation with the "Trump-owned" Federal Government.
Just like the N'orks or the Iranian Govt, who's mindset is very much the same, they think this will make them seem Heroic, or some such crap.

Can't cut off the Federal funds, the Dems in the Senate will never allow that... so I guess they will get what they want.
      However...
Every county in that state is being handed a golden opportunity, the kind that comes along very rarely.

It looks as if Free California will be happening this year.

Easier still to wait until an illegal commits a crime, and then charge the entire State legislature as accessories before, during and after the fact.

I hope so. Then the rest of California can be renamed Neuvo Tijuana, we can extend The Wall, and we can get on with our lives.

Trump needs to take a page out of Ike's playbook and send the 101st Airborne in to seize the AG's office building in Sacramento.
Those bozos in California must've forgotten who the Prez is. Trump's not Obama, he's not likely to f*&k around or look the other way.

Actually, what would be hilarious is California State Officers going to arrest someone for violating California Law, and being confronted by Federal Agents.....I see the state officers saying "Yeah, we're going to just leave".

The whole issue of illegal immigration has been going on for 5 generations. It is time to either change the law or enforce it.

The courts and lawmakers in California are unfortunate examples of what happens when a society is unable to come to grips with the necessity of red lines. Laws cannot be written and enforced from a purely ideological sense of fairness. A simple example would be various age restrictions. Individuals will be competent and responsible enough to drive, consume alcohol, serve in the military, and various other activities at various chronological ages. Testing every individual to determine non chronological maturity is not practical so we set arbitrary ages.

Immigration laws are necessarily broad strokes that cannot be fairly enforced. In the case of many people on the left with an exaggerated sensitivity to social injustice they forsake practical necessity in favor of open borders. By extension the same principle can be applied to all law leading to a state of anarchy and the collapse of civilization.

We have seen the same pattern throughout history where in the attempt to address minor injustices a snowball effect takes hold leading ultimately to authoritarian government. Governments often the new governments are worse than the ones that were the original perpetrators of injustice. I would suggest Venezuela as an example.

No! no military occupation and state rebuilding. Tie the funding of California with Palestinian aid. The fiscal weapon is the best whip.

Under this order by the AG, a employer who reports an undocumented worker aka illegal alien to INS is in violation of the state law,
If he doesn’t he’s in violation of federal law.
A rock and a hard place.

Let's see what happens when California actually tries to pursue an employer for that. Can you say publicity $h!+ storm against California?

This is what happens when you are detached from muscular labor, you lose the ability to act in the world that is instead of the one you believe in. Anything is possible until you try to bring it into existence.

Federal Law trumps (no pun intended) state law in this case.
