A jet airline's planes whine when full of passengers at 40,000 feet.

A liberal is full of $h!+ and has no altitude limit on their outrage.

although I think the author of this article has the other form of TDS and mis reading the tea leaves

On reflection, a bad year, about 6 on a scale of ten. We got a new president who is trying, but we now have a legislature determined to oppose everything he tries to do. The same legislature whose only objective is to prolong their feeding time at the government trough.

Liberals and haters, meanwhile, are taking over huge portions of our society and reshaping to their own ends, without a thought for America as a whole.

We are still mired in useless wars that cost us a fortune, maim and kill thousands of young Americans of the very type we need a lot more of at home, and bring us nothing whatsoever in return.

We still believe that we can oppose the most violent and vicious killers with kind words and some sort of "understanding, when the only defense against rabid dogs is to kill them.

We have criminals running lose because for some incomprehensible reason we have lost the ability to enforce the very laws that matter the most, and if our leaders are corrupt and criminal, where does that leave us? Those who should be role models for society are, in fact, the worst of the criminals and the corrupt.

We still retain our beliefs and our desires to make things better in all respect, but those beliefs are being slowly but surely beaten out of us by our very own government. Still, we attempt to remain optimistic, but our optimism is now restrained to inventing useless gadgets that clog up the arteries of communication, understanding, sympathy and empathy.

If we were aboard the TITANIC today, we would all be texting and tweeting the captain and everyone at home and none of us would make ever it to the boats. We have become a detached, distant and disassociated society centered almost entirely on ourselves and our creature comforts. We even kill our enemies from a long distance away using inanimate drones so that we never even see those we kill.

We have failed, and are continuing to fail, our elders who have been placed into our care because they can no longer care for themselves, and we have reduced that societal obligation to a means to make money while those elders suffer and are criminally mistreated. If we believe in anything at all, we believe in money and our own comfort and pleasure, to the detriment of everything and everyone else.

We have become the Roman Empire, galloping headlong towards our own destruction while we stay home and cheer at the circuses on our every-present, always-on, televisions that have taken the place of our own morals and ethics. We depend now on charlatans, soothsayers and witch doctors to tell us who we should be and how we should act. We do not learn; we use the 'net and we "google", and we put our intricate and highly vulnerable electronic network that keeps us alive into the very hands of those who hate us, because we are too lazy to do it ourselves, and because those in charge can't make enough money out of it.

Once we went to space. Now we don't even go to the supermarket. We call and have a drone or an illegal deliver it instead.

We re America, possibly one of the greatest nations in all of history, but we no longer give a damn because it's too much effort think for ourselves,
let alone attempt to fix what is broken.

Here's to us, and those like us. Damned few left.

A jet airliner gulps fuel and takes you somewhere distance in a hurry.

A liberal just takes you for everything you have, even faster.

What's the difference between a liberal and a prostitute? Both take your money, but with the liberal, you get screwed and end up paying for it.

            My reflection on 2017

            Hillary Lost! Hallelujah!
Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly and applying the wrong remedies.

A reflection on 2017: a very good year.
Any man can hold his place when the bands play and women throw flowers; it is when the enemy presses close and metal shears through the ranks that one can acertain which are soldiers, and which are not.
