We could at least start by NOT having the people who helped sweep Uranium One under the rug, being in charge of the Trump "investigation."

And what did Meuller do that was illegal?

You're not disputing facts, but trying to throw dirt on the special counsel. Great-absolutely fantastic.

And that is a perfect example of the ad hominem fallacy.

At the time this unidentified man became an informant, the FBI was led by director Robert Mueller, who is now the special counsel investigating whether Trump colluded with Russia. The investigation was centered in Maryland (Tenam’s home base). There, the U.S. attorney was Obama appointee Rod Rosenstein — now President Trump’s deputy attorney general, and the man who appointed Mueller as special counsel to investigate Trump.

Indeed! I'm at a loss as to why Trump didn't kick him out immediately.

The company concerned is a Canadian company. And a seven-department government panel had to approve the sale.

Further, no uranium will leave the US for Russia.

You might want to take a look at what actually occurred.

All you are doing here, as Trump is attempting to do, is to create a strawman in order to defend Trump, his campaign and his administration. Whatever the involvement of the campaign and administration, Trump is a dolt for not knowing the Russians were attempting to infiltrate the campaign, or he is complicit in the actions of his staff and the Russians, and Trump is guilty of gross negligence and stupidity for hiring people such as Manafort, et al, who are not of high character.

Threatening a FBI informant with bribery charges if he tried to expose something dirty on Uranium One isn't illegal? Okey-dokey!

How much Uranium has moved from Canada to Russia?

Can you support your allegation or are you just expressing a Trump-like opinion which has little or no basis in fact?

Look it up in the link to the National Review article on Uranium One scandal provided by our own resident Doctor. It says the (Obama) administration threatened the informant who wanted to go public with dirty expose on Uranium One deal. He was a FBI informant, it's not a stretch of imagination that given the fact Mueller was the FBI Director at that time, he probably knew about the tampering with the informant and did nothing about it.

The informant had nothing to gain by lying about his allegations that he was threatened by FBI over his desire to go public. So far I haven't seen anything that refuted the informant's allegations. At least something illegal was going on, and I have no trouble believing Mueller and others were complicit in this scandal.

Today's guilty plea puts the issue to rest. The emails came from Russia.

                        Of cabbages—and kings—

                          Nonsense.
Defendant PAPADOPOULOS claimed that his interactions with an overseas professor, who defendant PAPADOPOULOS understood to have substantial connections to Russian government officials, occurred before defendant PAPADOPOULOS became a foreign policy adviser to the Campaign. Defendant PAPADOPOULOS acknowledged that the professor had told him about the Russians possessing "dirt" on then-candidate Hillary Clinton in the form of "thousands of emails," but stated multiple times that he learned that information prior to joining the Campaign. In truth and in fact, however, defendant PAPADOPOULOS learned he would be an advisor to the Campaign in early March, and met the professor on or about March 14, 2016; the professor only took interest in defendant PAPADOPOULOS because of his status with the Campaign; and the professor told defendant PAPADOPOULOS about the "thousands of emails" on or about April 26, 2016, when defendant PAPADOPOULOS had been a foreign policy adviser to the Campaign for over a month.

Wikileaks posted the emails online over a month before the Russian professor said they had "thousands of emails".
