  • CNN vs the Kid

CNN has discovered the identity of the individual who made the Trump-CNN wrestling video which Trump later posted on Twitter. According to William Craddick of Disobedient Media, the person in question is 15 years old.
CNN has come under fire for suggesting it will publish the identity of a private citizen if he behaves in a way that displeases the network.
Andrew Kaczynski, senior editor of CNN’s KFile, discovered the identity of the Reddit user who made a short video of President Trump tackling a man with CNN’s logo superimposed on his face to the ground.
CNN is withholding the man’s identity “because he is a private citizen who has issued an extensive statement of apology, showed his remorse by saying he has taken down all his offending posts, and because he said he is not going to repeat this ugly behavior on social media again,” Mr. Kaczynski wrote in an article published Tuesday night.
CNN reserves the right to publish his identity should any of that change,” he continued.

So, CNN just cyberbullied a 15 year old? They should be proud of themselves.

In a unrelated note. Kathy Griffin has been paid an unpleasant visit by the Secret Service. The case remains open.

Few things. If cyber bullying is a thing, this is one soft society we live in. Most CNN viewers don't know what reddit is, this won't hurt their viewership. How do we know for sure the person in question is 15? Anonymity makes tough guys out of everyone until they're exposed. His identity shouldn't be revealed, but the point still remains.

The whole thing gives me a laugh...from the CNN video itself to the kids apology for something that did not warrant an apology.

You should watch the video that Exo posted.

The person created a meme with the CNN logo. Doesn't matter if the person is 15 or 83 year old. Big CNN going after someone that made a childish meme......then the threaten that person.....

Kind of begs the question; does CCN think it is to big to fall?

It now seems that CNN may have targeted the wrong person. Buzzfeed claims the video that appeared on Reddit allegedly produced by the 15 year old in question is different from the video which appeared in Trump's tweet. Further, a man from Mexico has now claimed on Reddit that he was the author. Meanwhile, Ted Cruz is stating that CNN may have been in violation of New York Penal Law § 135.60: Coercion in the second degree in threatening to expose the individual's name.

I'm not sure a hacker delinquent c to view.an expect anonymity for something published in FaceBook for millions of users to view.

I think the solution to this kind of thing is to make sure everyone knows who he is, while he receives his just punishment.

There was, after all, no concern by the kid for the privacy of the president, so why give a delinquent something an innocent person doesn't get to begin with?
