How can we sit here and blame Russia when we're just as responsible for killing civilians and spreading war. We're no better or worse than they are."Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."

Unlike the USSR, we don't have a strategic confrontation with Russia. They're just a regional power. We don't have to love each other, but there is no logical reason for military conflict.
And we share common enemies.Any man can hold his place when the bands play and women throw flowers; it is when the enemy presses close and metal shears through the ranks that one can acertain which are soldiers, and which are not.

This is preposterous...I can not believe how Sean Spicer has labeled Assad considering how Trump previolisly said he would work with Russia and Syria to fight ISIL,
The Trump administration responded to Tuesday's chemical attack in rebel-held Syria, saying the incident was "reprehensible."
"These heinous actions by the Bashar al-Assad regime are a consequence of the last administration's weakness and irresolution," White House spokesman Sean Spicer said on Tuesday. "President Obama said in 2012 that he would establish a 'red line' against the use of chemical weapons and then did nothing."

Imagine ISIL takes Kentucky....we fight back and some foreign country is labeling us as "reprehensible".... Unbelievable....Long live the Lionheart! Please watch this video

Assad is murdering his own people, numbering in the hundreds of thousands and now he has used chemical weapons against them, murdering women and children.
Do you believe that is OK?
And the Russians are backing Assad's play...We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven; that which we are we are; One equal temper of heroic hearts
Made weak by time and fate but strong in will
To strive to seek to find and not to yield.

Putin is a dangerous man right now and getting more desperate, and therefore even more dangerous. He is running a corrupt kleptocracy that is beginning to rot out internally due in large part to the collapse of oil prices. Russians want Russia to be an important world power so he is diverting his countries attention by using crafty asymmetrical destabilization techniques to buck himself up. He can't have a successful Ukraine at his border because you know why? Russians would want the same. He can't pull Russia up, he's too corrupt so he's trying to pull everyone else down.
Only thing to do in this crisis created by Putin is to get all the facts out and let the chips fall where they may, then fix it. Just like the United States always used to do.

However, the Trump administration, especially Trump himself, have been progressively cozying up to the Russians and that is not in the best interest of the United States.
Russia does not have the economy to engage in any type of warfare with the United States or any other capable power in the world for over two weeks. They have shown that in Ukraine. They are, however, very well equipped to murder civilians in Syria and Ukraine. We are not now that strength which in old days

The Russians are conducting indiscriminate bombing in Syria and are backing the slaughter of the Syrian people by their own government.

Why are the Syrians special? There's ethnic cleansing going on in the Horn of Africa, and heavy body counts in Chicago and Detroit, but you're getting weepy over Syrians, a country who is certainly not pro-US.Any man can hold his place when the bands play and women throw flowers; it is when the enemy presses close and metal shears through the ranks that one can acertain which are soldiers, and which are not.
