No, but neither is killing people.

There is a casual disregard for the law in these situations, and prison holds little fear.
Any man can hold his place when the bands play and women throw flowers; it is when the enemy presses close and metal shears through the ranks that one can acertain which are soldiers, and which are not.

You have to buy a permit for automatic weapons so I imagine antitank rockets are even more restrictive. Who would sell them?

              They shouldn't be. No infringement.

What do you mean by no infringement Bob or are you just trying to be cute or are you being sarcastic, anyone with "common sense" knows what the second amendment is saying, and even the authors knew it had limitations.

Good question. Technically I would say they were, but know of no case history for such things.

However, that does not mean they are completely illegal. Certainly the launchers are legal, but as they are "Explosive Devices" would be regulated by the ATF. I believe I've seen at least one at a gun show. Live grenades themselves though would be a no-no except under very certain conditions. Inert grenades are legal.

I would suspect that the launchers would be covered in the same way as all post 1898 artillery and mortars etc are covered, with a federal license from the ATF. Artillery wise, I work for a man who was two papered French 75's (only one currently mounted), a 75mm pack howitzer (M1A1), and an M2A1 105mm howitzer.

It would be interesting to know what the laws are regarding firing an RPG with an inert round.
