    I was in elementary school when the first shots were made available, we were lined up in the cafeteria and given shots. Years late the new formula came out that was an oral dose on a sugar cube.
    I don't know anyone who had ill effects. OTOH, I knew more then a few whose lives were forever changed by polio.
