  • Sessions asks 46 Obama-appointed US Attorneys to resign!

Good, Trump should have got rid of them in the first place, and for all of the Trump haters, Clinton got rid of all of them (93) in his first day in office, please don't cry they need to go!

Good, but it is pertinent to point out that the current pResident is not the former pResident.

    Not a bad thing...

They were told to pack their trash and get out by tonight. And many of them found out about it on the news or otherwise. They should have been told and be given time to turn over cases, etc.

It is usual for the US attorneys to leave with a new administration, but this one did it with no class and no comprehension of the consequences. The consequences are that there was no turn over time for active cases, including the corruption cases in New York City.

Again, no class at all. It is typical of an administration with little or no character.
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven; that which we are we are; One equal temper of heroic hearts
Made weak by time and fate but strong in will
To strive to seek to find and not to yield.

Again, bullshit based on TDS. Clinton fired them all and Bush most of them. But Trump doing it is much worst in your fantasy world.

Because it's only wrong and evil IF a rightie does it. TDS indeed.

It's interesting that when Obama wholesale replaced US attorneys the MSM barely noticed it. No stink was raised, nothing negative was said about it...

            http://www.politico.com/blogs/under-...torneys-018390

In fact, some of the MSM even dissed those on the Right that did question the move...

            https://mediamatters.org/research/20...-us-att/150231

Now we have Trump "demands." Or, that the firings were a "surprise."

            Double standard? Methinks so.

I'm, did anyone notice that the thread title is totally wrong??? The people that were ask to resign were US attorney's not Judges. US attorney's are Presidential appointees and since these are left overs it is appropriate to ask them to resign.

Presidents and Attorney Generals have no authority over Federal Judges. Separate branch of government, appointed for life.

BS Massena, Clinton fired all of them in his first day in office and told them to get out with the same kind of class that you are accusing Trump of not having, really think about it, (but you evidently can't because it's Trump) should we have these a$$holes on the bench deciding what's good for America, Just my opinion, but I think not.

                      r.
99.9 % + of the cases are handled by the assistant U.S. attorney's. The absence of the US District Attorneys will have no effect on day to day operations of the various US Attorney's offices and handling of ongoing cases.

Trung Si, I knew this was about US Attorneys, but see post 7.

CE is correct, this is not about Judges, it is about US Attorneys asked to tender their resignations.

US Attorneys do not decide cases, they argue them.

                        Thanx!

Get a grip and you might want to pay attention to the news and not the propaganda from the Trump administration that you appear to be so fond of.

The attorneys were given a day to clear out their offices which was not done by Clinton, Bush, or Obama.

You can put your 'TDS' nonsense in your pipe and smoke it. That's just more fake news generated from this forum because you can't stand to be disagreed with.

You might at least try to have an adult conversation, even though that might be somewhat trying.

Any man can hold his place when the bands play and women throw flowers; it is when the enemy presses close and metal shears through the ranks that one can acertain which are soldiers, and which are not.
