  • Records: Too many votes in 37% of Detroit’s precincts

Voting machines in more than one-third of all Detroit precincts registered more votes than they should have during last month’s presidential election, according to Wayne County records prepared at the request of The Detroit News.

Anyone also wondering about those 33 precincts in Philadelphia that went 100% Hillary?

So much for the myth of her winning the popular vote.

So... If there had been a full recount, Trump would have won by a wider margin...
Democrat Hillary Clinton overwhelmingly prevailed in Detroit and Wayne County. But Republican President-elect Donald Trump won Michigan by 10,704 votes or 47.5 percent to 47.3 percent.

Overall, state records show 10.6 percent of the precincts in the 22 counties that began the retabulation process couldn’t be recounted because of state law that bars recounts for unbalanced precincts or ones with broken seals.

The problems were the worst in Detroit, where discrepancies meant officials couldn’t recount votes in 392 precincts, or nearly 60 percent. And two-thirds of those precincts had too many votes.

“There’s always going to be small problems to some degree, but we didn’t expect the degree of problem we saw in Detroit. This isn’t normal,” said Krista Haroutunian, chairwoman of the Wayne County Board of Canvassers.

State officials are planning to examine about 20 Detroit precincts where ballot boxes opened during the recount had fewer ballots than poll workers had recorded on Election Day.

“We’re assuming there were (human) errors, and we will have discussions with Detroit election officials and staff in addition to reviewing the ballots,” Thomas said.

The Detroit News last week was first to report that more than half of Detroit would be ineligible for the recount because of the irregularities. The results were based on county reports obtained by The News.

Michigan recount reveals error, but not the one Jill Stein wanted

By Marisa Schultz December 14, 2016

WASHINGTON — Green Party nominee Jill Stein’s presidential vote recount in Michigan may have turned up massive voter irregularities — in the Democratic stronghold of Detroit.

Now it’s Republican leaders who are demanding an investigation to determine why a third of the city’s voting machines registered more ballots than actual voters, the Detroit News reported.

Ruth Johnson, the Republican secretary of state, is launching an audit.

Republican state Sen. Patrick Colbeck called the probe a good start on the suspicious results turned up in Detroit, which Hillary Clinton won with 95 percent of the vote.

          [...]

The new audit is aimed at finding out whether human error, fraud or negligence is to blame for the mismatched irregularities in Detroit. The investigation could take about three weeks.

So there's a chain of custody that is the law with penalties attached. Why aren't they being followed? I know that its Chicago and voter fraud is a epidemic there, but if we saw people going to jail for it wouldn't that deter them to a slight degree?

I'd like it if the feds came out to CA and instilled a sense of fear over our voter irregularities. It's really bad out here. When you think of corruption that's over the top, think CA...

Unless the GOP controlled state office over the elections process is lying and covering up for Mrs Clinton:

              http://wdet.org/posts/2016/12/14/843...rregularities/

State elections officials say it appears to be human error. The ballots are being shipped to Lansing so elections workers can inspect them and verify they were all properly counted.

Michigan Elections Director Chris Thomas says the problem appears to be ballots were left in machines rather than being moved to secure storage containers. But he says there’s no evidence of tampering with the results anywhere in the state.

“Throughout this process, and in many of the court hearings, there were all kinds of allegations that were not substantiated by any facts,” he said.
              Sorry once again.

Even if they didn't cheat... Their incompetence would have prevented a recount from including the part of the State that supposedly voted 95% for Clinton.

When politicians have to bank on the support of the incompetent, they subject themselves to their incompetence...

Kind of like Gore voters and the butterfly ballots in Florida in 2000...

Only if your GOP party is lying about the facts. Are they?

Nope. There were major differences between the number of ballots recorded, the number of actual votes tallied by the machines, and the number of ballots actually in them. And, it was not just a couple of machines, it was hundreds of them.

                              If you had bothered to read the complete article, you would have found this;
State officials are planning to examine about 20 Detroit precincts where ballot boxes opened during the recount had fewer ballots than poll workers had recorded on Election Day.

State Sen. Patrick Colbeck, R-Canton, called the planned audit “a good place to start” that could help determine whether Detroit elections workers “followed the correct procedures” or “fraudulent procedures” on Election Day.

The fraud accusations will only come should the investigation find proof that such was committed.
