      to the brave American servicemen that heroically performed their duty on that terrible day. I keep thinking of those sailors desperately trying to open to ammunition lockers to man anti-aircraft guns.

      What I would give for those guys to have gotten just a half hour's advanced notice

        Your link changed, doesn't look to be the article/headline you intended.

        Meanwhile, it is a political "holiday" of sorts;
        If Trump's Message on Pearl Harbor Shows How He Will Lead as President, America is In for a Great One
        ...
        Trump mentioned former President Reagan who formally recognized December 7th as Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day in 1987 but he also sounded a bit like the Great Communicator, who wrote these words when he set aside the day:

          The above is fairly conventional and mostly history as we know it, or should.

          This next one is the 'Alt-history' of sorts;
          The Pearl Harbor story is fake news, and so is much of the news about U.S. wars

            I hope and pray that before I leave this world, that I can stand above the USS Arizona, and salute those brave men as well as at the USS Utah memorial.
            Don't waste your time always searching for those wasted years...

                They had more than one-half hour of advance notice, but the command structure ignored all warnings, in ways that would be unthinkable today. No effort whatsoever was made to verify the radar sightings or the claim of attacking a submarine outside the harbor.

                  The advancements made by America during WW2 is why so many modern Americans have a great life. Many American men and women, black and white....put in their sweat, blood and tears into protecting their country during WW2.

                  I look at the film above which shows great men and I know these men would be proud of where America is today. America remains the strongest nation on the planet and does so by a wide margin.
