  • President Elect Trump on Dreamers: "We’re going to work something out"

Sure, he's going to throw out President Obama's 'Dreamer Program' and simply replace it with his.

However because it will be President Trumps program the Right will be quite happy with it.

In an interview with Time magazine announcing him as "Person of the Year," Trump didn't go into specifics but signaled that he could find a way to accommodate the Dreamers.

"We’re going to work something out that’s going to make people happy and proud,” Trump told the magazine. “They got brought here at a very young age, they’ve worked here, they’ve gone to school here. Some were good students. Some have wonderful jobs. And they’re in never-never land because they don’t know what’s going to happen.”

The interview notes that the president-elect did not back off his promise from the campaign trail to rescind Obama's executive actions. And without details, it's difficult to divine exactly what policy Trump would support once he is sworn in and has to face this issue.

    “To talk of many things:
    Of shoes—and ships—and sealing-wax—
    Of cabbages—and kings—
And why the sea is boiling hot—
    And whether pigs have wings.”

If "we’re going to work something out that’s going to make people happy and proud,” takes the form of legislation, passed by Congress, and it isn't a blanket amnesty to the "dreamers" and their extended families... The "right" should be happy with it because it will be totally different than Dear Leader Chairman Maobama's unlawful executive orders.

We won't know what "we’re going to work something out" means until Trump takes office.

And if you think it there is going to be an immigration bill from this congress then you need a break from work....

Since we now have a "use it or lose it" vacation policy, I'll be on vacation tomorrow, Friday and Dec. 16 to 31...

Regarding Trump getting things done in Congress... I have learned that it's a mistake to underestimate him.

          The snowflakes have not.

Just letting ICE and the Border Patrol do their job will have a massive impact.
Any man can hold his place when the bands play and women throw flowers; it is when the enemy presses close and metal shears through the ranks that one can acertain which are soldiers, and which are not.

Well, since he's never got something through Congress, there is nothing to base it on.

Immigration is about the one area that he has little to no leeway on.

This is part of the reason people keep underestimating him.

He has plenty of leeway. As long as he secures the border, he pretty well has a free hand to craft immigration reform.

In the office from 6 AM to 6 PM most Mondays to Thursdays and every other Friday. My 9/80 is closer to 9/100... except when I have a well drilling, then it's more like 24/7.

10-12 hours a day on a computer work station, with a desktop PC right next to it and a smartphone enables a lot of multitasking.
