  • Trump meets with Al Gore... ???

If nothing else, this demonstrates that Trump is willing to listen to idiots...
Donald Trump met in New York Monday with Al Gore to discuss an issue the Republican president-elect has long scoffed at: Global warming.

The meeting at Trump Tower was initially scheduled with the president-elect’s daughter, Ivanka Trump. After Gore emerged, the Democratic politician-turned climate activist told reporters he wound up spending "the bulk of the time" with Trump himself.

“I had a lengthy and very productive meeting about the transition with the President elect,” said Gore, who campaigned on behalf of Hillary Clinton and shared in the 2007 Nobel Peace Price for his climate-change work. “It was a sincere search for areas of common ground. I found it an extremely interesting conversation and to be continued, and I’m just going to leave it at that.”

    [...]

Trump’s incoming chief of staff Reince Priebus later clarified the statement on Fox News, saying the president-elect still believes global warming is mostly “a bunch of bunk.”

          ...what was said...

We'll probably never know what was said at the historic (hysteric?) meeting of Donald Trump and Al Gore because the transcripts have been placed in a "lockbox".

My vote was 'other'. Because his daughter Ivanka Trump wanted it to happen. She has a very large influence on her father. She has shown a streak of supporting rather liberal causes. It will make for an interesting term.

              You could have voted:

To humor his daughter, Ivanka and her Democrat husband.

I think it was mostly due to Ivanka... However, Trump has clearly demonstrated a willingness to seek out opposing points of view... Almost too much willingness.

Those cabinet appointees and senior White House staff will quickly have to navigate the PE children in order to be effective in this administration. You're going to see a lot of them and outside interest groups cultivating ties with them. They will have more influence on US policy than any other the official post.

It could be like the Kennedy brothers... Except, in this case it will be the Trump kids and son-in-law.
