He is actually putting together a pretty good cabinet. Personally I like the idea of Betsy Devos being Secretary of Education. She actually brings the third, and most ignored, leg of the education process, namely the parents/students themselves.

One of the chief causes of the decline in public education in this country has been a peculiar educators' fondness for fads, and so the process is constantly changing, and political correctness has seeped so far into the process that it is difficult for parents to know if where their children stand educationally. I know this from experience. So do millions of others who had children in school. Report Cards are generally a joke. I had a nephew who failed all his 8th grade classes but gym, and he was passed (because failing him would be bad for his psychology).

Devos' big thing is for vouchers. This would allow the parent to put their children in whatever school (public or private) that they wished, or essentially, the money would follow the child. Democrats, the "Party of the People" however are opposed to this, because it would mean fewer students in public schools, which means less money for the schools, which means less teachers and administrators, and smaller unions with corresponding smaller donations to the Democratic Party.

    Agree.

And the business interests getting involved just makes it worse.

So we have the anit-Trump crowd complaining about appointing someone they think can't do the job.

Hmmmm, where were they when Obama was running and elected?

    Very true.
Unfortunately, the state education boards are often highly biased in their philosophy and approach to what constitutes "education", which has quite a bit with how the Feds got involved in the first place.

And we all know how well colleges "teach".

BHO has nearly two months left in office to further screw up this country and economy, so he does count.

Also the comparisons are valid because if Trump hadn't won (and that isn't really final until after Dec 19) we'd have been stuck with more of loser Barry's socialist agenda in form of Hillary (and back-door in the WH Bill giving advice) and continued/more of parasite cabinet members.

So how does a career guv'mint worker whom never started or ran a profit related business, never had to make a payroll (using his own moneys), spent his lifetime living off redistributed wealth have a clue about how economics work or how to run a government without using statist-socialist parasites in key positions ???

And who did you say did Clinton have lined up as her cabinet? You're starting to sound like a paranoid radical and a total mysogynist, and worse than armor11.

I can and I will and just like Obama, Hillary does not matter now does she? And as far as what kind of job Hillary's picks would have done, that is a moot point now. We can keep dancing if you wish?
