As terrible as some of his selections are, you should at least provide a source beyond single picture from the internet.

        m'kay...but it's all easily confirmed.

        Here's the wiki...it's all sourced.

        https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Betsy_...n_for_Children

DeVos served as chairwoman of the board of Alliance for School Choice. She heads the All Children Matter PAC which she and her husband founded in 2003 to promote school vouchers, tax credits to businesses that give private school scholarships, and candidates who support these causes. Over the years, DeVos and her husband have provided millions in funding for the organization.

Her other activities on behalf of public-school reform have included membership on the boards of directors of the Advocates for School Choice, the American Education Reform Council, and the Education Freedom Fund. She has chaired the boards of Choices for Children, and Great Lakes Education Project (GLEP). She has described GLEP as being "focused on supporting candidates who share a commitment to the issue of meaningful education reform," and CFC as being an "education reform watchdog organization" that is "focused on raising public awareness as to the merits of education reform."
DeVos was educated at the Holland Christian High School. She graduated from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she earned a bachelor's degree in business administration and political science, and was "involved with campus politics," according to Philanthropy magazine.
DeVos grew up in the Christian Reformed Church in North America. She has been a member and elder of Mars Hill Bible Church in Grand Rapids. Former Fuller Seminary president Richard Mouw, with whom DeVos served on a committee, claims she is influenced by neo-Calvinist theologian Abraham Kuyper.

          Meh...

Public education has gone downhill like a toboggan run on a sheet of ice since Carter first instituted the Department of Education at the federal level.

Besides, if Diane Douglas can't mess up public education, Betsy DeVos sure can't. Douglas is the mirror image in terms of experience to DeVos and is currently Arizona's superintendent of education. The same sort of whiny Progressives and teacher's union heads that said she'd be a disaster are the sort saying DeVos will be.

They're wrong. At worst, she won't do anything. At best, she divest the federal government of screwing up public education.

All of this is a joke.

And you keep on writing "meh" , when it is now blatant that Herrrrr Trump hasn't the slightest idea of how you rule a country.
            Can you figure it out?
Nomination to the Secretary of education ,of someone who's against public education ?

There should be no federal secretary of education, because education is the business of the states, not of Washington .

And about public schools in the US (the quality of which is even worse than in Europe ) : public education can not have a monopoly,as education is free : parents should have a choice, they must be able to send their children where they want to send them .

Unfortunately, Seb, the privatization of public education has already been a consistent policy pursued under the Obama administration, with millions of taxpayer dollars being diverted from public education to private-for-profit education corporations. Hiring a Secretary of Education who is against public education is, therefore, nothing new.

Public Schools fail constantly and cost more than private schools.

If you value the salaries of Govt Union Employees more than you do the right of American kids to a worthwhile education, you would have to be against this new appointee.
                    Shame on you.

She supports school choice, but is not against public education. Sheesh.

I don't know why you continue to post about things you know absolutely nothing about.

Found on the net ,on a blog.
" For a bit of background, DeVos is a billionaire philanthropist, known to be a generous donor to the Republican Party. She has served on numerous education philanthropy boards, although she has never professionally worked in the public education system.

She grew up as a member of the Christian Reformed Church in North America and was educated at Calvin College, the educational institution of the same church.

This is a protestant denomination that believes that “all scientific theories be subject to Scripture and the confessions.” It also claims that “humanity is created in the image of God; all theorizing that minimizes this fact and all theories of evolution that deny the creative activity of God are rejected.”

Can't wait for next January !
May be that her brother founder of Blackwater will be principal education adviser ?
                            Who knows ?
