And just what has Trump created for the country? Casinos that went bust; thousands of lawsuits; a fraudulent 'university'; and he has never served the United States in any capacity-he dodged military duty in the 1960s with a student deferment when others went to Vietnam and a good proportion of them were killed in action.

Trump is both a fraud and a draft-dodger. He has contributed nothing to the nation or its people.
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven; that which we are we are; One equal temper of heroic hearts
Made weak by time and fate but strong in will
To strive to seek to find and not to yield.

In South Africa, the President is not elected directly by the popular vote. So go shove it.

You know nothing about American government and continuing to gripe about something you know nothing about while ignoring that your own country also does not run on direct democracy is completely disingenuous and shows the arrogance of ignorance and false outrage above all else.

You don't like our system, fine. You don't live here so get on with it. Notice that even Hillary supporters here are telling you that you are wrong about our system, so why keep making a fool of yourself by repeating nonsense?
we don't even vote for the president here, we vote for the party. We know this up front

I am not saying direct democracy. I am saying 1 man 1 vote of equal value

Get over yourself. If you don't agree, then prove otherwise. I don't believe that you can.

Making an ad hominem comment merely points out the weakness of your own position.

Mellow and polite... Me? A former enlisted member of the Air Force? A Clamper? Your expectations are far afield.

Sorry if I tread on your tender sensibilities. Perhaps you should seek some wall to wall counseling...

And what would that be in the Air Force?

You cannot expect people to be totally accepting of Trump’s electoral college win when Hillary has won a larger popular vote than Gore, Nixon or Kennedy in their elections.
By the time all the ballots are counted, she seems likely to be ahead by more than 2 million votes and more than 1.5 percentage points, according to my Times colleague Nate Cohn. She will have won by a wider percentage margin than not only Al Gore in 2000 but also Richard Nixon in 1968 and John F. Kennedy in 1960.
                        http://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/11/op...-vote-win.html

RE: Trump’s proposed staffing—When he is looking at John Bolton as Secretary of State it looks like he is going to get some of George W. Bush’s old bureaucracy in for his cabinet. The old neo-con bunch, same old, same old folks that got us involved in “bringing democracy to Iraq and Afghanistan” So, yes, I am very afraid of Trump about Foreign Policy.

I am also afraid of him about letting Paul Ryan run away with privatizing Medicare. They are only going to give you some money to buy your own insurance in lieu of regular Medicare. And just what will the insurance industry do with that? We might have a year or two where it works well and then the Insurance companies will start raising prices. So I am afraid about that as well.

Other things that he may mess with—Freedom of the Press, true Freedom of Religion, and likely Freedom of Assembly, all First Amendment Rights, as well as some women’s issues like Reproductive Rights.

I think we may see the rise of a New Women’s Liberation Movement. A lot of the young gals took it all for granted and now they are beginning to see how important it is to keep fighting. My grand-daughter has already been on one march in Boston and will likely be an activist for years to come. Her mother and great aunt is egging her on, and I am quite proud of her but I want her to be careful. I doubt she will be, as she is not a young woman to hold back.

Then why is there a fraud case ongoing against him presently?

And what about all the people he short-changed when he was building his casinos that went bust?
Hating the Bill of Rights now, M?

Innocent until proven guilty, and this came up during an election?

If he short-changed anyone, whatever that means, wouldn't he have faced criminal charges back then? So how did those prosecutions turn out?

Your candidate lost, M. The Bill of Rights is safe. Much as you hate that, you will have to learn to accept it.

Your girl made millions out of public service. She never created a private sector job in her life.

Trump has made his stockholders millions, quite probably billions. He created tens of thousands of private sector jobs.

True, not all his ventures were successes. Unlike you, he made mistakes. Naturally, your career will end at flag rank (unless you are a complete failure).

He didn't serve in Vietnam, that is true. Neither did anyone he faced, so the point is moot.

His contributions to the USA are substantial.

Could you be more specific (pre-Election, let's not muddy the waters), aside from the Trump Foundation? Inquiring minds would like to know.
