  • Can the DNC come to terms with why they lost?

I decided to watch the post election episode of Vice news and the Daily Show and see how the left was reacting to the election. In addition to what I've already posted about I noticed their opinions over why they lost. People interviewed were saying that America showed its dark side and that people hated women and migrants and how this country had just turned evil. One guy even said democracy failed (because apparently in his lexicon, democracy is a word meaning ďdo what I want and not what the country votes forĒ). Once again I started laughing because of how nonsensical it was. Yes, liberals, thatís what the problem is. America sucks. It couldnít possibly be the fact that you presented a candidate with more baggage than an Airbus A380, AMERICA must be the problem.

    Why Dems lost the election

1 Your candidate was incredibly corrupt.

Americans donít hate women or latinos. But they do hate people who shred their servers and try to hide the fact that they did something wrong, give influence as a political favor to the highest bidder, and treat half of the country with contempt. And this election should teach you that the novelty of presenting the first woman president doesnít override that.

2 You played the politics of division and it backfired.

For years the DNC and its propaganda machines have marginalized conservative thinkers as a backward dying breed. They encouraged divisive thinking and the viewing of opponents as morally inferior. Unfortunately the people they were demonizing were a much bigger subgroup than they thought and now theyíve been battered into us vs. them thinking which enabled a firebrand like Trump to rise into prominence.

Thatís it. Thatís why you lost. America isnít sinking into the tarpits and you are not now a persecuted minority. You ran a bad candidate and played a divisive game that had more of a galvanizing effect on your opposition than your party faithful.

Now I happen to be getting tired of this partisan nonsense and Iíve seen my own side do it too and personally Iíd prefer we get back to viewing each other as human beings but you all have to meet us half way on this. Vice was still trying to present Trump supporters as the Orcish horde and continuing to believe one side is evil isnít going to make friends.

Trevor Noah was saying on the Daily Show that this was now Trumpís America and, speaking as someone who voted for Trump, bull. It isnít Trumpís America now, it wasnít Obamaís America before, and it wouldnít have been Clintonís America if she won. America belongs to the people. The left isnít shut out and you donít need to flee to Canada but you do need to stop viewing us as deplorables. The Dems didnít lose because America is evil, they lost because Clinton was corrupt.

One analyst stated that Clinton lost because the Dems didn't listen to the mood of America and Trump did.

Trump sensed the anger and frustration, but Hilary couldn't comment on it because her party has been the one causing it.

Might not be that easy. The politicians and the media are trying to suppress all media coverage of the rioting, or to at least minimize it. Would they have done that for Republican rioters?

First, Progressives never understand the rest of the political spectrum. So, their loss has to be explained away in terms of their own dogma.

First and foremost, Hillary was a very poor candidate.
            1. She's corrupt and people knew it. No amount of equivocating would change that.
            2. She's got more baggage than JFK International airport.
            3. She's a congenital liar. If there's anything people hate it's being lied to their face. Hillary did it even when she didn't need to.
            4. She's a major a-hole. She treats people like they're beneath her. That doesn't fly in America.

Then the DNC, MSM, and Progressives dismissed most of the American public. Hillary's "basket of deplorables." They really thought that, believed it, and most of the American public was insulted by it. I also agree that the whole Leftist "Us versus Them" politics of division by race, class, wealth, economics, education, or whatever, is an utter bigoted fail that most people don't agree with.

Now we're seeing the usual result. The Left is going insane (as if they weren't there already) over losing power. They see their agenda about to be torn to shreds. Since they can't really reconcile with the rest of the political spectrum, their only out is take to the streets in mass protests.

Because so much of it is ideology, losers always struggle to really understand why they lost - which goes double for when they demonizes their opponents so much that they're equated with Nazis and Communists.

We could see it here. If Trump had lost, this forum would have a swathe of posts about Democrat bribery, the gullibility of minority voters, those damn socialists, and how America is going to implode in just a few years.

Instead we get Democrats blaming Republican bribery, Russian hackers, and demonizing Trump's backers as racists and bigots, and how America is going to be a firestorm in just a few years.

Just look back at GOP losses against Obama: there was a very strong lack of deep introspection about the flaws in the party ideology regarding elections.

I'm not holding my breath for the Democrats to be any better. What I'll predict instead is bitter infighting as the left-wing fights against the moderate "establishment" that nominated Hillary.

A better and more pertinent question is can the GOP come to terms with why they won?

More than half the country approves of Obama she would have won if it wasn't for all the baggage.

Democrats definitely need to direct their anger towards the DNC though, there's no doubt about that.

The same pollsters claiming Obama's approval rating also showed Trump lagging five points behind Hillary. As late as 24 hours before the final count the Washington Post predicted her as they likely winner.

So we can safely say that Bobo's approval ratings are equally inflated.
