Instead of starting a brand new thread for each new revelation in the Podesta emails, please post all new additions in this thread.

    That said,

Turns out Hillary's campaign team does not think much of the younger cool generation even while they are courting their votes. Note: have censored the original.

HRC needs this kind of infusion to pull younger voters. And she may not be the best face of it so so maybe it's trending figures to advocate for her b/c that's the crap that young people pay attention to. I hate to generalize a generation but by social media nature, they "follow". So if someone they identify as cool endorses - they will likely fall in line with that candidate.

This pretty much covers the big ones:
"I don't discuss sitting presidents," Mattis tells NPR in an interview. "I believe that you owe a period of quiet."

Looks like even Ukrainians were hacking the Clinton campaign
Once again, how many people had access to Podesta's account, if someone was able to read a gmail alert sent to Podesta's email account before Podesta even read it?

This is a legitimate email. John needs to change his password immediately, and ensure that two-factor authentication is turned on his account.
He can go to this link: to do both.
It is absolutely imperative that this is done ASAP.

We can read the allegations here, and some of them are jaw dropping, but how much of this is going mainstream, given the MSM is much more interested in talking about racist and sexist Trump is? Are voters in the round reading this stuff and taking any notice?

Hope all is good with you.
I see where Glyn Davies, State's North Korea envoy, is about to get a big Asian ambassador post.
I would love to have Glyn's post. As you know, I've been working with the North Koreans and traveling there since the mid-1990s. I'm actually qualified to do that job.
I am currently EVP of Diageo, same post I've had since leaving The White House.
Can you help me pursue this?

Need to get more brown and women pundits involved...

            Subject: Howard's advice

when bloomberg was having problems w the times he called Arthur schulzburger and asked for coffee. He made the case that they were treating him like a billionaire dilettante instead of Third term mayor. It changed the coverage moderately but also aired the issues in the newsroom so people were more conscious of it. But Arthur is a pretty big wuss so he's not going to do a lot more than that.

Hillary would have to be the one to call

He also thinks the brown and women pundits can shame the times and others on social media. So cultivating Joan Walsh, Yglesias, Allen, perry bacon, Greg Sargent, to defend her is helpful. They can be emboldened. Fwiw - I pushed pir to do this a yr ago.

when campaign staff no longer know where the candidate stands on a key issue. when in doubt - stay away from the issue.

Have you guys thought about expressly combatting the meme out there that says HRC is "out of touch" or "in a bubble" by taking a page from former Florida Senator Bob Graham, and doing, say, 8 "work days" over the next 15 months?

She could acknowledge flat-out that she's been in a security/privilege bubble, and is determined to break out of it. Then she selects 8 occupations that she is willing to spend one day working at. She humbles herself, but gives dignity to the workers whose salaries she wants to raise. Perhaps she makes beds in a hotel for a day. Perhaps she busses tables at Denny's or works behind the counter at McDonald's or Chipotle's! Perhaps she works in a nursing home. Or is a janitor in a school cafeteria. Or works at a daycare center. You get the idea -- have her pick some low wage service jobs that she's actually willing to spend 6-8 hours doing (any shorter and she'd be criticized for not putting in a full day).

Our base would go wild for it -- an acknowledgement that she is determined to "see" real people, despite her own good fortunes. That she will remain in touch. Plus, it will really help to authentically internalize her own stories of how the economy is not working for average people. She'll talk to workers while she's there. She'll see real people . She'll start to understand, truly, the importance of the economic plan she'll be offering on Monday.

She would be humbled and inspired by the experience.
                Just a thought.

Thanks Roy. As Always, appreciate your thoughts. She got herself into the money conversation unfortunately with Diane Sawyer (dead broke) and then again with the Gaurdian (not truly well off) but she fixed it as best as she could with PBS/Gwen Ifill (not about me but about people who have real struggles). John - you are loyal to a fault. You represent a client that is not honest and is most likely criminal. Hillary and Bill are not worth trying to defend as they are manipulative and they use people. Not exactly presidential material. Your defense of them losses all creditability to those that admire you. I hope you can see truth, live it and not live a lie.

It appears pro Trump folks are searching for sources that attack Mrs Clinton wrt the "email scandal"....because of course the US justice system has not alleged Mrs Clinton to be a criminal, Mrs Clinton is not awaiting a court date for any sort of charge.

Why not just let the process work itself out? What good does it do to constantly monday morning qb this situation? Its the same old same old oh Mrs Clinton is a criminal because this news report says so. If there is an issue, the US courts will convict Mrs Clinton....the courts not random folks on the net.

Because it is not something to wait over... a possible criminal being the POTUS.

Hopefully EVERYONE will see what a horrible choice she is... not that Trump is so much better.
