Edit, you will have to replace the xxxx in the link with the appropriate obscenity before the link becomes active.

There appears to be an "article 9" somewhere that could be invoked, don't know the details - it's a rather unique procedure that exists but has never been used.

Edit: rules 8 and 9 of the Republican party charter apparently.

You should have run Pence from the start - he might have stood a chance, since he'll be on the ballot - can't you all just vote for him instead of Trump ?

Or does the VP come attached to the candidate ?

Those rules allow the RNC to fill a vacancy, they do NOT allow the RNC to drop a candidate from the race. He's there until the end.

Trump got around 13 million votes in the primaries out of over 300 million Americans.

He had over 16 million Republican primary voters vote for other candidates. So he had less than 45% of the Republican votes.

So it would be more accurate to say a minority of the Republican party is responsible for Donald Trump.

Who ever released the Trump tape definitely timed it well.

Few Presidents in the 20th Century were elected to office by 50+% of the eligible voters.

The point is that he won the convention (unlike Hillary).

You can support him, or you can support Hillary. There only two options. It is as simple as that.
