  • As usual Trump can't just make a statement, he has to, well lie to make it better.

During a interview with ABC's "The Week" show, to air Sunday, Trump was asked about his tweet complaining about the Debates dates:

    http://www.politico.com/story/2016/0...chedule-226464

In an interview to be aired Sunday on ABC News' "This Week," Trump said: "Well, I'll tell you what I don't like. It's against two NFL games. I got a letter from the NFL saying, "This is ridiculous. Why are the debates against--" 'cause the NFL doesn't wanna go against the debates. 'Cause the debates are gonna be pretty massive, from what I understand, okay? And I don't think we should be against the NFL. I don't know how the dates were picked."
He walks back a little on his tweet, however in doing so he makes a false statement, he wants it to sound better, like he's very important. Typical Trump. Notice the bold above.

News organizations of coursed checked with the NFL. They stated:

    http://money.cnn.com/2016/07/30/medi...ule/index.html

An NFL spokesman responded Saturday: "While we'd obviously wish the debate commission could find another night we did not send a letter to Trump."
The man just can't make a simple statement saying he did not like the dates.

      But, But, But, But CLINTON!

No, most Politicians lie about things that actually matter, when Trump speaks he can't help it. I don't think he has the ability to NOT embellish and make up stuff in order to make him seem more important. Constantly, as every time he gives a statement.

Yea, like landing in Bosnia under fire, or about having a private e-mail server...

        Sure they do...

They all lie, but somehow everything Trump says is "a lie," when everything Hillary lies about is "she misspoke," or "she forgot the details...," or some other deflection.
Seems lying is more about party and who you're discussing than whether the lie really makes any difference...

Nope the airport thing was a lie. However you've got to go back how far for that? The last 2 days have produced how many from Trump? The NEXT two days will result in how many from Trump.

          See the difference?

                  Saturday afternoon, another one.

                  http://www.bloomberg.com/politics/ar...idate-contends

Trump tweeted earlier Saturday: “I turned down a meeting with Charles and David Koch. Much better for them to meet with the puppets of politics, they will do much better!”
Of course the exact opposite was true. The Trump Campaign had used GOP Doners that had come over to the Trump side to reach out to the Koch brothers and ask for a meeting. They were turned down.

When reporters pressed on why the Kochs would have asked to meet with Trump if they’re not getting involved in the presidential race, Davis repeated that the Koch network is focused only on the Senate. Republicans are looking to maintain their majority in the 100-seat chamber but incumbents are thought to be vulnerable in states such as Illinois, Wisconsin and New Hampshire.

Asked if there had been any contact between the Koch network and the Trump campaign while Trump was in town, Holden said: “None that I’m aware of. I don’t know of any.”
So in Trump World the Donald refused to meet them.

Really someone, maybe the adult children needs to take away his twitter account.

You have a tough crowd there CE. Let's call them campaign gaffes then. Trump is gloriously self destructing before our eyes, all self inflicted wounds too. Keep up the good work.

Unlike Trumps work, which is a ginoromous sacrifice for all of us, this is not even work at all. It just spells out of his mouth and out of his tweeter....

How about if we just discuss what someone has posted in a political thread. If someone posts about an "R" screwing up, let's not answer with a story about the opposite "D" messing up, and vice versa. If you want to talk about the opponent, start another thread. There's plenty of hijinks and stupidity being bandied about by both sides
Here was your reply in post #10. What happened?
                          Excellent idea.

Everyone lies, but Trump is terrible at it. He lies about trivial things, constantly lies, and it's always easy to catch him in his lies. In the end, he just makes himself look foolish.
