Yeah but with leaders like bobo and shillary we're gonna lose. We need to make war on them, not this pansy thing that we are doing now. Make them afraid for their families and they will stfu and quit...
    Credo quia absurdum.

Quantum mechanics describes nature as absurd from the point of view of common sense. And yet it fully agrees with experiment. So I hope you can accept nature as She is - absurd! - Richard Feynman

Again, I will counsel against referring to equating terrorists to actual combatants; terrorism is a crime. Here is the FBI definition for example.

The FBI defines terrorism as “the unlawful use of force or violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof in furtherance of political or social objectives.” The FBI further classifies terrorism as either domestic or international, depending on the origin, base, and objectives of the terrorist organization. We investigate terrorism-related matters without regard to race, religion, national origin, or gender. Reference to individual members of any political, ethnic, or religious group does not imply that all members of that group are terrorists. Terrorists represent a small minority in any large social context.
While I agree that Islam is absolutely related to a significant portion of modern terrorism, I will also point out that the vast majority of the victims of Islamist terrorism have been Muslims. What is happening in the Middle East and North Africa bears that out. ISIS is Sunni and they have been actively targeting Shia Muslims; that is something that has been going on for centuries by the way as there is a significant amount of animus between the two predominant branches of Islam.

Additionally, I will also point out that the historical record clearly indicates that religion is more often than not the self righteous cloak used to mask that actual reason for the vast majority of wars; money. After all, war is really nothing more than robbery writ large.

So "war" and socialism are the same thing: "robbery writ large."

Forgive me, perhaps I am missing something but how is this related to the topic at hand? But if it makes you feel better, I am no fan of socialism as a political philosophy.

I was replying to *your* post. How is this relevant to this thread?

And this is where the problem is. Refusal to call it what it is.

Time to stop talking about religion. It's a political machine.
