Indeed, if Sanders were to win the White House, God help all of us.

He's just as equally bad as Clinton or Trump. What a pity that we have to face two of the worst presidential candidates in US History.

But hey, know what? The most exciting thing about this whole sorry mess is that milliennials no longer find socialism a yucky thing. Isn't that awesome?

    Not.

Socialism does not equal democratic socialism. Common mistake made by many who take a biased view without doing any research at all.

Didn't Maduro win the presidential election by a narrow margin in 2013? So then he was elected into the office, that pretty much sums up the definition of democratic socialism, wouldn't you say?

      No?

Then let's face it, socialism and democratic socialism are one and the same one, there is no substantial difference between two words.

But, But, The standard answer to why Venezuela is falling apart is that the right people were not in charge. IE. It would work if Sanders were President.

              Hardly

Try Germany as a comparison. Stable government, growing economy, 2nd in the world for exports, great infrastructure, high tech standards, average unemployment, good med and schools, low crime rate. Nope your another one that really has no idea of what your talking about when it come to Democratic socialism. Add on to the pluses, it has more than two party's to pick from and six weeks paid vacation per year and another two weeks worth of legal holidays

Like I said, you have the slightest idea of what your talking about.

This is laughable with Trump and Clinton running.

Of course he has an opinion... It's something like Chavez and company didn't do enough to confiscate wealth, and socialize business to succeed....

That's the usual line Socialists on the Left use to excuse their failures....

Perhaps if they would have been less corrupted, as in it doesn't really matter what you do when the power that be is just functioning as a spokesperson for an interest group..there are endless amounts of people who don't mind getting rich by screwing over everyone else.

Trump got rich by being born. Daddy had a large piggy bank.

AFAIK Clinton's have gotten rich from speeches and books.

Well, at least you admit that both are rich and that blows your above comments about Social Democrats out of the water.

Boo hoo hoo. Daddy barely had a 200 million estate which was in part due to Donald's work. You do understand that Donald took over the family business when he still in his 20's?

Donald took over the family business and and increased it's worth 20 times over. Deal with it.

Donald may be an asshat and whatever else. But he was a hell of a lot more successful than you and I. Don't be a dick. Give credit where credit is due.

So did Gates, Page, Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz, and others. But they didn't get a 200 million head start and they are all younger and worth more than your idol.

You might have been a failure if your daddy left you 200 million, I wouldn't have.

They certainly benefited from government though - no mention of the role Federal Housing Administration financing and contracts played in the growth of his father's business?
