  • Tow truck owner said he refused service to woman because she supports Bernie Sanders

Has it come to this? Seriously? One of my Navy Bros supports Trump, albeit by "holding my nose." I still had him over at my house for my wife's birthday party where we got together with a few other old warhorses and we all regaled each other with sea stories and lewd jokes. This jerk had to cojones to call himself a "conservative Christian" but he obviously did not understand the "Christian" part and he clearly had no sense of common decency. But I guess that he invoked his "sincerely held beliefs" when he left that woman by the side of the road without helping her.

    ASHEVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -
A local tow truck driver said he refused to tow a woman’s car after he saw Bernie Sanders stickers on the vehicle.

Kenneth Shupe said he was called to pick up a woman stranded on I-26 in Asheville on Monday.

When he saw “a bunch of Bernie Sanders stuff” he said he told the woman, “very politely,” that he could’t tow her car because she was “obviously a socialist” and advised her to “call the government” for a tow.

"Every business dealing in recent history with a socialist minded person I have not gotten paid," Shupe said. "Every time I deal with these people I get 'Berned' with an 'e' not a 'u'."

Okay its faux news so I doubt the story.

Really. They do very little research on any story and just go for sensationalism...

Here he is in his own words and you can find the video of this two truck driver on You Tube as well. Very little investigation is required when you go on camera and clearly state why you refused a stranded motorists assistance.

Actually it was a local news story from a station that happens to be a Fox network affiliate. Not tied to Fox News at all.

Reading the complete local article at the link in the OP and it seems legit. Both sides agree that it happened. Not much more to it.

So what's the point? One guy refused to serve a woman because he didn't agree with her politics?

The good news: he didn't riot, throw bricks at cops, terrorize her family, or destroy her property like Sanders supporters would do if she had a Trump bumper sticker on her car. So she's got that going for her. Which is nice.

Yes, because that is a typical Sen Sander supporter.

The guy was an asshat they left a woman with a wrecked car sitting on an interstate highway in a busy city.

Okay the guy was a asshat. Leaving anyone in a wrecked car shows a lack of compassion. I was going to comment of tow truck drivers and sensitivity but that's needless...

You can always tell a Navy man by the way little things gets their panties tied into a knot.

I know a tow truck driver who won't tow cars for black people. And he's black.

It's a free country. Call another tow service and move on.

Hmmmm....does this guy tow for AAA? If so, he has no say as to whom he hooks onto for a ride. If he's an independent then he has the right to refuse an opportunity for employment. However, there's no law that says you have to agree with a customer's politics to take their business. If this guy has a problem with socialist types stiffing him on payments he can always go to small claims court with it.

If it was a Muslim tow truck driver and a Christian with a broken down car we'd have 30 post most of them linking to multiple websites screaming bloody murder. Drudge headline would have a 80 sized Font etc.

And you would be recommending appeasement.

Yeah...that's just not true, but when has the lack of truth ever stopped you from posting?

Exactly. The hypocrisy here never ends.
