What do Hawaii, Guam, Washington DC, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, America Samoa, and the Northern Mariana Islands, and pre-statehood Alaska all have in common? Why do you think it took so long for Alaska, Hawaii, Arizona, and New Mexico to become states? New Mexico first petitioned for statehood in 1850. They very nearly achieved statehood in 1876 but racism interfered and they had to wait until 1912.

What does all this result from? Well it's simple really: R-A-C-I-S-M. Some things never change ...
The uber liberal ace in the hole, when ever your argument doesn't hold up to scrutiny, claim racism, shut it down, shame your opponents. Throw mud..
    Hog wash.
Puerto Rico is in trouble because the population is has dwindling for decades. Loss of tax revenues because over 400k people have moved out.
