  • Trump campaign manager arrested for battery

U.S. Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump's campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery in Florida on Tuesday, the latest chapter in a raucous White House race marked by threats, insults and physical confrontations.

Police in Jupiter, Florida, charged Lewandowski, 42, with intentionally grabbing and bruising the arm of Michelle Fields, then a reporter for the conservative news outlet Breitbart, when she tried to question Trump at a campaign event on March 8.

"Mr. Lewandowski is absolutely innocent of this charge," Trump's campaign said in a statement. "He will enter a plea of not guilty and looks forward to his day in court. He is completely confident that he will be exonerated."

Police released a video of the incident showing Fields walking alongside Trump and trying to question him. Lewandowski is seen grabbing her arm and pulling her backward. Previous videos of the incident had been obscured by people in the crowd.

As of this posting, he has NOT been arrested, only charged.

Typical wishful reporting by the Lame Stream as usual.

      This is in-fracking-sane...

Trump needs to sue the Jupiter PD for false arrest.

I was using the Reuter's headline on their main page. Within the article itself (with the longer title) it is "Trump's campaign manager charged by police, Walker endorses Cruz".

The PD had no choice when a complaint is filed.

It looks like the charge is similar to Texas' 'assault by contact', in which the subject is charged with placing his hands (unwanted) on the body of another.
Any man can hold his place when the bands play and women throw flowers; it is when the enemy presses close and metal shears through the ranks that one can acertain which are soldiers, and which are not.

Yep. Trump needs to sue Michelle Fields...
Update 1:15 p.m. ET: Michelle Fields has filed a criminal complaint with the Jupiter Police Department, alleging misdemeanor battery against Lewandowski.

            [...]

Update 1:05 p.m. ET: A Vine video has emerged, purporting to show a new angle of the incident. The footage appears inconclusive, but visible in the background is Ken Kurson, editor-in-chief of the New York Observer, who appears to have had a close-up view of the action.

Breitbart News reached out to Kurson, who responded via e-mail:
I was five feet away from the alleged incident and didn’t see anything. I was literally looking right at Corey when it supposedly happened. Someone sent me a Vine of it (I look bald as hell, ******mit — and what’s with that backpack?!?!!?) and if this happened, I think I would have seen it. I have a lot of experience as both a journalist and operative in these kind of press scrums and I didn’t see anything at all out of the norm.

The Observer is owned by Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law.

The incident was video recorded from more angles than an NFL game, yet the analyses read like those of the Zapruder film...

Welcome to the modern world. Despite a hundred more cameras of much greater power and utility, it still comes down to a "he said, she said" slap fight.

It's pretty obvious this was a KGB-Mafia plot.

Since the JFK assassination was a lone gunman, this one must be a conspiracy.

Sionn5 on youtube says she has a history of complaints.

"She claimed a New York City Police officer beat her with a baton.
She claimed Allen West groped her.
She claimed Robert F. Kennedy Jr got 'handsy' with her.…and now this."

Just more ridiculous attempts to bring down Trump. This was a setup. She was touching Trump and SS apparently tried twice to get her away, and she wouldn't leave, and then Lewandowski barely touches/brushes her. She lied in her original statements about what happened and said something about how this was the most traumatizing experience of her life, besides her father dying.

She is full of it. It was just another setup.

And, the supposed bruises on her arm were on her forearm, yet Lewandowski only seemingly touched her above the elbow.

                            A whole bunch of nothing.

This is the sort of BS that will just make Trump look like the underdog and draw more voters to him.
