Hillary's VP nominee will almost certainly be from a demographic group other that old white guys. My bet would be on one of the Castro brothers... the San Antonio Castro brothers.

The reason I posted the poll is that Sanders is drawing from the one demographic that might keep Clinton from being elected President - white males. Also, he is drawing young people.

Of course, he is 74. I think Clinton is a great politician and would naturally want to pick her top rival, if it would help. Of course, the downside here is he is 74. But given the strange things we've seen this election, you never know.....

Edit: I would say about a 1 in 8 chance.

I would guess the same probability that Clinton became Obama's V-P.

1 in 8 is probably the high-end; but not unreasonable.

I suppose that Trump and Sanders might both be appealing to white males who feel as if they have no voice in government. In which case, Sanders might be a logical choice.

50/50 shot if it will be him, or George Staphanop-something.

If Bernie gets the consolation prize, then the plan will be that he will have to retire in a few months for "Health reasons" and the guy Hilly really wanted gets appointed, the Dem's favorite sort of end-run around the will of the people.

But who cares? Doctored polls might try to show that Hillary can beat the Donald, but who the hell honestly thinks that nasty old shrew has a chance vs the Donald?

How many older politicians have stepped down as VP for age related reasons? It will be a miracle if Sanders accepts and an even bigger miracle if this ticket wins. I have noticed that the Hilary does not get what she says she wants often!

Zero. I can't recall the last time a 'to the wire' opponent was chosen as Veep. If Clinton wants a white male as a running mate, she can find plenty.

Plus there is the age issue. Hillary has had one stroke already and is aging badly; a 74 year old Veep is a bad pick.

Hillary is a poor campaigner; they will need to choose someone young and with a fresh rep to offset the tired old white woman who is a life-ling politician.

My bet is she picks somebody from Florida solely with the intention of boosting her chances of winning the state. She's not the sort to pick on competence but rather on political machinations.

Agree on the first bit. A 74 year old white guy who calls himself a 'socialist and is from from Vermont - not a chance. It will be a male in his 40s, very possibly Latino.

Oh cool! The 'unskewed polls' cult that was so confident of a Romney win lives on. And with the inevitable gender specific name calling as a bonus. I'm really going to enjoy this election.

I don't see it happening. Sanders is running as the anti-establishment guy. Stranger things have happened, but what could more establishment than being her running mate for an office that John Nance Garner described as 'not being worth a warm bucket of ****'?

It will be a male from a major red state or threatened blue state. Latino is chancy-they are far from a united voting bloc. Mexicans dislike non-Mexicans, Cubans likewise, the old families despise the newcomers...its not like the black vote, which the Dems have utterly locked in.

I totally agree, living in a county with a huge Mexican population, I know exactly what you are talking about, the so called "Latino's" are not all birds of the feather, believe it!

Which means she could pick Bruce Jenner. For the whatever he has morphed into vote.
