    You can tell that Canadians are stll very much the monarchist breed by the looks they give you when you "accuse" them of being American.

    I mean, there really isn't much difference neteen the two countries, just Mounties, no defense budget and a whole host of French Canadians.

    Some wag on another forum, (I think it was yours truly) once made up his own joke about Canadians...

      I wonder if the Canadians are going to replace their Trebuchets with Onagers this year?

          Hey Canada, why are you making that one guy build your wall while the rest of you are in Arizona on "vacation" for six months every winter...?

            They gotta ...

            ... go to make room for all the cross border shoppers and casino gamblers enjoying the low CDN $. That six months thing is likely going to end, the IRS and Revenue Canada are sharing info now, Canadians in the US too long may lose their Canadian health benefits, and considered US residents required to pay US income taxes:

            ".., test determines whether you have been in the U.S. long enough to be considered a U.S. resident for tax purposes. The IRS determines this by using an unusual formula that calculates the total number of 'days' you have spent in the U.S. over a three-year span, and that number must add up to 183 or more.

            They calculate the sum as follows:

            Each day in the U.S. in the current calendar year counts as one day;
            Each day in the U.S. in the prior year counts as one-third of a day;
            Each day in the U.S. in the year before that counts as one-sixth of a day.
            If the sum of those three numbers totals 183 or more, the IRS may insist you file a U.S. tax return.

            Enjoy your full measure of Canadians while you have them!

                ... the premier AZ vacation spot for Canadians has always been the tourist mecca of Nogales. But over the last few years the Arizona Office of Tourism has advertised Quartzsite as a "rock-hound's paradise", and spread rumours that the RUSH guys like to hang out there, ergo all the RV's with Cdn plates, waiting for the 2nd coming of Geddy Lee. Are you trying to tell me we've all been duped??? First no more wading in the Rio Grand, and now, not even a Justin Bieber?

                    What seems mundane and average to people of one country, is exotic and extraordinary to persons who don't live there. Desert and tropical country is exotic to Canadians the same way as the wide open expanse of the Canadian prairie is exotic to Germans and Dutch or places with culture and public health care are exotic to Americans...

                        Is this a case of "if shoe fits ..." sort of reaction?

                        Member of NRA and working a gunshop not automatic "non-liberal". See a few liberals at the local range often.

                        Think of yourself as you want, but I've seen few posts or positions from you that would be considered right of center (USA definition). That duck test, quack, quack...

                        Guess I'm a "moderate" also.

                          My opinion on the video is that it is funny in a couple of places but I don't like it because it comes off a bit too smug.

                                ... for a 6 month holiday, ain't it? I think TAG's mistaken the local Repo Lot full of outta work Texas oil worker tenements on wheels, for vacationers enjoying the good-life at the KOA.
