  • Trump Now Book Makers Favourite for GOP

I don't think Trump has ever been favourite with the bookies, despite his strong lead in polls. He did give a very strong performance in the recent debates though, and has become the bookmakers favourite, marginally, over Rubio.

Okay, I think I'm done for the day wit the Net, I can only handle so much weirdness in one day.

Maybe they saw the size of the crowds Trump keeps drawing. On the ground he dwarfs the rest of them.

British bookies well take bets on just about anything you wish to bet on. That is fairly common knowledge.

I like Oddschecker because it brings together a number of bookmakers in one place.

I generally like the opinion of bookmakers more than pollsters because they have money on the line. They suffer more if they get it wrong.

Do US bookies tell a different story?

US bookies only do sports. You can bet on just about any aspect of the game, even the coin toss, how many touchdowns, interception, total points or predicting next year's champion.

Many years ago I had shares in an online betting company that had operations in the US. Some US regulator came gunning for them and bust the company, I lost the lot. I should have remembered about that one.

My contribution to the US economy.

Outside of Nevada, that site would be illegal.
New York just banned a Fantasy Football site because of all the gambling.

Overseas and offshore gambling websites are illegal period. Gambling on any political race anywhere is illegal in the US.

I'm not sure if the ban is actually in effect. Last I heard FanDuel and DraftKings were taking it to court. Fantasy Football has been around and have been legal before the internet. The internet just made it easier for people to play. Who are they to redefine what is and what is not gambling?

It maybe just a matter of NYC wanting to protect their own revenues as they see Fantasy Football dipping into their lottery and horse racing revenues. NYC accounts for 10% of all Fantasy Football in the world.

Gambling on lotto and horse race is legal because own it, but Fantasy Football can cause social and health issues?

And just WTF is Wall Street?

New York City government has a history of greed. The highest income, sales, luxury, gas, cigarette, inheritance, estate, and property tax rates in the nation.

Never trust a bookie's odds. He's in it for a profit, and one sure path is convincing suckers to bet the direction that favors the house.
Any man can hold his place when the bands play and women throw flowers; it is when the enemy presses close and metal shears through the ranks that one can acertain which are soldiers, and which are not.

It marks a trend really. When I first posted that Trump was running and I thought he had a serious chance, his odds were 50-1, maybe the worst for any candidate. He has gained credibility through the process.

The bookies predicted a, "No," vote in the indyref, massive SNP gains in 2015, but a Conservative majority - right on all counts.

If this is true, I may run out of clean underpants.
                              Indyref2 - still, "Yes."
