Particularly in a poll not designed as comic relief.

The way I see it this occurred because of Islam in general, and because of radical Islam in particular. Radical Islam wouldn't exist if Islam didn't exist so the two are to a degree intertwined and inseparable. This is particularly true when the non-violent portion is doing little or nothing to oppose the violent elements and in many cases silently supports them.

Profiling and recognition that there is a war going on with the radical elements of Islam are two things the West studiously ignores. This can be seen most recently in the refugee situation. Could you see, for example, the US taking in Japanese, German, or Italian refugees once they were at war with the US? While the lines were more clearly drawn in WW 2, it amounts to the same thing. The West is taking in refugees from a war zone where one side involved thinks itself at war with the West. Of course they're going to try and slip spies, saboteurs, and terrorists into the mix. Common sense indicates it.
So, why take any refugees and run that risk?

Then there's the mindset of the shooters. They have to have some level of evil intent in their minds to want to kill people who considered them friends and co-workers. You don't leave work after having friendly conversations with co-workers, joking and such, then return and kill them without evil intent. That is sociopathic behavior and true sociopaths could be described as evil persons.

Evil murdering sob's who are Islamic fundamentalist, a group who has no business living in any democratic nation.
