  • Why some conservatives say Trump talk is fascist

All I have to is, you really think so?

Trump is a fascist. And that's not a term I use loosely or often. But he's earned it," tweeted Max Boot, a conservative fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations who is advising Marco Rubio.

Forced federal registration of US citizens, based on religious identity, is fascism. Period. Nothing else to call it," Jeb Bush national security adviser John Noonan wrote on Twitter.
Conservative Iowa radio host Steve Deace, who has endorsed Ted Cruz, also used the "F" word last week: "If Obama proposed the same religion registry as Trump every conservative in the country would call it what it is -- creeping fascism.

I fall into this camp. Why? Because as a conservative I believe in limited government. I do not believe in creating a police state, or registration databases for American citizens based on their religion. There's a huge difference between creating a registry of supporters of Islamic fundamentalism and creating a registry of all Muslims. That's wrong.

The easiest way to remove illegal immigrants is to crack down on those who hire them. No need for a massive wall costing untold billions. No need for a "deportation force" that will invariably pick up some citizens as well. What are they going to do? Go after anyone who looks Hispanic? Time to get real people

That and national law that denies them driver's licenses, any and all government benefits, access to any social programs other than emergency care for injuries (with subsequent reporting and deportation), laws that make landlords responsible for reporting them if they try to rent, inability to open bank accounts or get credit, and the like.
That would pretty much cause most of them to leave in short order.

          Bingo!
My idea was a fine of 100,000$ per illegal per incident, maybe scale that back t 10k but the principle remains, and the Feds get to make lots of money off fines, they LOVE doing that.

Nail the fat-cats, and make them pay wages that American will work for.
          Simple as that.

What, you want to punish the wealthy business owners in America who donate more to campaigns than you and who hire more Americans than you do?

What can you offer the politicians they support that would make up for that loss?

And there we have another great thing about Trump.

He's not accepting donations, make of that what you will.

Trump is an empty headed populist. Whenever I hear him start to talk about actual policy he seems so devoid of clear ideas and vision that it is hard to peg him down as an actual fascist. Although if those ideas sold, he would spout them them.

But just like fascists, his target audience is the angry scared reactionary right.

Max Boot a conservative ? An adviser of McCain and Romney a conservative ?
He belongs to the Republican establishment that is becoming uneasy about the rise of Trump .
The same for Jeb Bush .

Besides, I like to see the proofs that Trump is supporting the ideas of Mussolini .

It's the old trick : if you have a serious rival, smear him .

Which proves what I am saying : if you have a serious rival, smear him .

The angry scared reactionary right that implies that there is a right that is not angry, not scared, not reactionary: Sanders would say : such a right can be found in the camp of Hillary .

I like also to see the proofs that before 1922 the target audience of Mussolini was the angry scared reactionary right .

'Fascist' is one of those terms wildly abused by people who don't really know what it is. Trump isn't it. He is just a right wing populist who will say pretty much anything for publicity. Silly season is still in full swing.
