    Sometimes real world experience trumps classroom knowledge. I remember numerous Ensigns that had an excellent educational background but their lack of experience outside academia caused problems.

      Any proof to back up your statement?

        Yep, agree with that. The three most useless things at sea are a pig, a wheelbarrow, and an Ensign. I'm not totally sure about the pig or wheelbarrow...

          What arguments did the inmates use to beat the Harvard squad? That might be interesting reading!

            I wonder if it was a case of the Harvard students being overconfident and not coming prepared.

              Harvard likes to tour the Debate Team. It is not as if they are unbeaten. Years ago McNeese beat them in debate.

                [QUOTE=T. A. Gardner;311416

                " Three students from Harvard's team responded, and a panel of neutral judges declared the inmates victorious. " [/QUOTE]

                What is a "panel of neutral judges " ?
                Sounds like an add for a 6-pack exerciser...

                  Judges that didn't convict any of the inmates and aren't parents of the Harvard team members?
