Let the tears flow, as Bohener goes!
No details yet, he just announced he will resign at the end of Oct.

    Beat you to it.....
“The time has come,” the Walrus said,
    “To talk of many things:
    Of shoes—and ships—and sealing-wax—
    Of cabbages—and kings—
And why the sea is boiling hot—
    And whether pigs have wings.”

I think John Bohener has manic depressive disorder. He is a very emotional fellow.

Doesn't matter as both of our post don't concern the latest 13 year old rant on the President or the game of TAG at recess they will be ignored by most..../

Was it not a "quit or else" type situation?

Can't really blame him. The Federal government has become dysfunctional with Obama and a unyielding Democrat Progressive agenda. Congress has been all but stymied by the Senate Democrats and the filibuster rule. Before it was the same with Reid running things. Nothing came to the floor and the Democrats wanted no part of any debate on anything while Obama threatened veto on everything.

The Republican Party is very divided right now, it requires a strong leader, I think getting the Speakership was more important to him then being the Speaker.
We see this frequently with republicans, achieve power, then do nothing with it.
I know, most Republicans would say the Democrats do just the opposite, achieve power then do to much a, I agree, but if you want the power that comes with political authority, you must appear to do something with it.
I think he may have been more of a behind the scenes type of guy.
The problem is right now the Republican Party needs a stand out leader.
