  • And Obama Blames...

Simply incredible. Obama's speech in support of the 'agreement' with Iran demonstrates that he cannot even spell 'foreign policy.'

Everyone but himself and the Democratic Party.

    Same old story...different day.

Word is going around Washington that when Obama leaves office for the last time the Marine Band will play Pop Goes The Weasel instead of Hail To The Chief.

Like I said earlier about this:

Obama is an imbecile who thinks he is lecturing a group of imbeciles.
The reality is he's just an imbecile. He isn't "the smartest guy in the room." He's a mediocre intellect with a stunningly shallow grasp on the policies and decisions he's making. In terms of ability as President he is easily one of the least competent men to ever hold the office.

One thing is certain here. Obama's influence in Congress is all but nil, including with his own party. This will be a fight between Congressional leadership with Obama conspicuously absent.
It is also almost certain Obama won't like the outcome and is powerless to influence it as he has been throughout the last 6 and a half years of his Presidency.

It's a new variant of the Peter Principle. The original is that people are promoted to their level of incompetence. Here we have proof if you are enough of a con man you can get elected to a office far, far above your level of incompetence.

Agreed. We can call it the Obama Principle.

I think it should be a Corollary of Parkenson's Law, the part on employee selection.

Umm...how many people has Iran nuked so far?

It's a good deal. You guys would be all for it if it had been anyone other than Obama's administration who negotiated it.

Argument from ignorance. That is, you are arguing a negative. If Iran doesn't have a bomb and wants one arguing that they haven't nuked anyone therefore their getting a bomb is irrelevant is a logical fallacy.

No, it's a bad deal just as Chamberlin's agreement with Hitler was. The basics of it are, it gets the US and other signatories little while conceding Iran a substantial ability to rearm conventionally, avoid inspection, and stabilize their economy.
It also does virtually nothing to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear capability. Even at its most generous it delays that event by just a few years.

Unless a future POTUS or Congress overturns this bit of treason, anything that Iran does that is directly related to it, and harms one single person on this planet, is laid at Obama's feet. He has potentially become directly responsible for the deaths of many, many people.

Godwin's law only applies when the reference is a: ad hominem, hyperbolic, or otherwise commits the fallacist's fallacy.

Making a comparison between treaties made by two heads of state for similar reasons and goals is perfectly applicable.

Leading US Democrat speaks out against US-Iran deal

Leading US Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer has announced that he is breaking ranks with President Obama by opposing the Iran nuclear deal.
He said there was a very real risk that Iran would use the agreement to pursue what he called its nefarious goals rather than moderate its approach.
Mr Schumer is the first Democratic Party senator to take such a stand.
Correspondents say his move is a serious blow to the president as he urges Congress to back the deal.
The nuclear deal calls for Iran to reduce its enrichment in exchange for the releasing of millions of dollars in frozen assets.
