So the Republicans and the Israelis are being provoked into apoplectic fury.

Somebody must be doing something right.

This is the country that just got given the green light to access billions of dollars and pursue a nuclear programme. But they just want a few power stations is all ....

Yeah unfortunately it's not our government.

The Republicans, Israelis and the Gulf Wahabbis are pissed off and on the same side - strange bedfellows indeed (or given the last few decades of politics perhaps not).

                That definitely needs to change.

Besides, as we have learned from our dealings with the North Koreans, one can never go wrong trusting in the promises of terror sponsoring nations not to develop nukes.

BO gets the credit for this one even if it was made possible, in part, by the refusal of the republicans in congress to do their job.

If Obama is to be blamed for garnering too soft a deal with the Iranians, then Bush is to be blamed for arrogantly dismissing the opportunity to get a better deal when the Iranians were scared.

                        Interesting comment from President Obama:

                        Interesting comment from President Clinton:

"we must verify that that commitment in writing is verified in fact."

"I don't discuss sitting presidents," Mattis tells NPR in an interview. "I believe that you owe a period of quiet."

Didn't Ronald Reagan used to say that, with regards to an adversary far more dangerous than Iran?

I've always gone on the principle that if you're unsure of an event, look who gets upset over it.

The Iranians face dire threats if they put a toe out of line, and are being inspected to within an inch of their lives - I think it's worth a shot.

The fact that people I heartily dislike are tearing their hair out is a bonus.

Come on now, stay positive. Maybe Iranian gets a nuke and and the surrounding states ally with Israel and then that's one long conflict over.
