Man Watched By Joint Terrorism Task Force Shot, Killed By Officers
    CBS Boston

An armed 26-year-old man under constant surveillance was shot and killed by an FBI agent and a Boston police officer in Roslindale this morning after he came at officers with a military-style knife, according to Boston Police Commissioner William Evans.
The suspect was identified by police as Usaama Rahim of Roslindale.
"He was on foot, under surveillance," Evans said. "The officers have been surveilling him and again they wanted to speak to him ... and he turned and our officers gave several commands for him to drop the weapon and unfortunately he came at the officers and they did what they were trained to do and that's never an easy decision for any officer to make."
One FBI agent and one BPD officer fired, FBI Special Agent in Charge Vincent B. Lisi said.

    Knife to a gunfight.

    'Nuff said.
Any man can hold his place when the bands play and women throw flowers; it is when the enemy presses close and metal shears through the ranks that one can acertain which are soldiers, and which are not.

The initial investigation shows both the police officer and FBI agent discharged their weapons, according to 5 Investigates' Karen Anderson. Evans said Rahim was shot twice.
"They did what they were trained to do, and unfortunately, they had to take a life, and that's never an easy decision for any officer to do," Evans said.
Dozens of agents converge on Rahim's apartment Tuesday afternoon and the investigation moved to a home on Linden Street in Everett, where a police command vehicle could be seen, sources told 5 Investigates.
Rahim was taken to Brigham and Women's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Ibrahim Rahim, the brother of the dead man, wrote in a Facebook post his brother was waiting at a bus stop to go to his job when he was confronted by police.
"He was confronted by three Boston Police officers and subsequently shot in the back three times," he wrote. "He was on his cell phone with my dear father during the confrontation needing a witness."

It appears they wanted to behead a policeman, hence the knife.

From the Boston Herald -Everett Man Charged in Alleged Plot to "Behead Boys in Blue"

Do any of our forum members in say, Buffalo, have any thoughts on this?

              http://www.bostonherald.com/news_opi...plot_to_behead

              excerpt

A man arrested in Everett yesterday in connection with a plot to behead police was charged in federal court as part of the alleged horrific plan to "go after" the "boys in blue," court records state.
David Wright, aka Dawud Sharif Wright and Dawud Sharif Abdul Khaliq, appeared in federal court in Boston today for an initial appearance. He is due back June 19 on a conspiracy charge. He is being held until bail is set.
Wright, a large man who required two sets of handcuffs to restrain him, is accused of telling Usaamah Rahim to destroy his cell phone in attempt to block the investigation into his buddy, who was shot dead by law enforcement yesterday in Roslindale.
The 26-year-old Rahim is accused of using the phone to plan random attacks on police with a Marine fighting knife he purchased online, according to court documents.
""I just got myself a nice little tool. You know it's good for carving wood and like, you know, carving sculptures ... and you know ...," Rahim apparently told Wright in a recorded phone conversation days before he was shot and killed by terror investigators, according to court papers.
On May 25, Rahim purchased a 15-inch-long Ontario Spec Plus Marine Raider Bowie fighting knife with a 9.75" blade, according to the affidavit, filed by FBI agent J. Joseph Galietta.
"In guarded language, Rahim told Wright about a plan, in which he was involved, to kill a person outside of Massachusetts," according to the affidavit.
Later in the conversation, Wright told Rahim something was "like thinking with your head on your chest," which prompted them both to burst out laughing.

You'd think they'd understand that they first need to submit the guy and only then behead him.

I mentioned on an earlier thread a few weeks ago that disillusioned American blacks were a potential target for radical Islam recruitment.

Since then blacks have been involved in two recent US terror plots. Something for America to keep an eye on.

Thugs think that because they take on an Islamic persona that they have the 'right' to go on 'jihad', cause mayhem and do the things that thugs often do without a 'righteous cause'. Please, just be the low life that you already are and don't take on airs.

The conversion of blacks in prison to Islam is very common these days (in no small part because Muslims tend to get more special treatment (e.g. more time from prayers etc) in said prisons).

This is not something new or unknown.

                            Second suspect arraigned

                            excerpt

Two men linked to the shooting death last week of a Boston terror suspect were charged today in federal court with conspiracy to provide support to ISIS.
David Wright, already under arrest, and Nicholas Rovinski, arrested last night in Rhode Island, face charges of "conspiracy to provide material support" to Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant terrorists, known as ISIL or ISIS, the U.S. Attorney's Office in Boston announced today.
"Wright, Rovinski, and (Usaama) Rahim conspired to commit attacks and kill persons inside the United States, which they believed would support ISIL’s objectives," the affidavit states.
Arraignments are set for this afternoon at 2 in federal court in South Boston.

                            excerpt

Rovinski, Wright, and Usaama Rahim together conspired to behead Pamela Geller, who organizes contests where entrants draw pictures of Mohammed, according to an FBI affidavit. Rahim was killed by a Boston police officer and an FBI agent last week when he approached them with a knife, according to authorities.
"Rovinski expressed his support for ISIL’s actions. He told the agents that he fully supported the recently publicized acts of ISIL fighters in the Middle East such as beheadings and military attacks on forces who oppose ISIL. Rovinski stated that the beheadings conducted by ISIL and posted on the internet and television were both warnings and a method of warfare. He stated that he feels that he is 'at war' with those who oppose ISIL," the affidavit states. "He also indicated that he is prepared to fight anyone who is an enemy of ISIL, including Americans if necessary, to accomplish ISIL’s ultimate goal(s)."

WARWICK, R.I. — The Rhode Island man authorities identified as the third suspect in a Boston-based terror plot quit his job last year, adding to a picture of a detached loner who in recent months had retreated into radicalism, according to federal authorities.
Nicholas Rovinski, who is facing charges of conspiring to support the Islamic State, spent at least the past six months posting to social media accounts and consuming pro-ISIS content on YouTube, including at least one video describing how to make a machete, according to the FBI

Rovinski — who “feels that he is ‘at war’ with those who oppose ISIL,” according to authorities — has been ordered held pending a hearing on Friday. Authorities said Rovinski, Usaamah Rahim, 26, and David Wright, 24, were planning to behead anti-Islamic activist Pamela Geller after the Islamic State called for “her slaughter,” records show. Rahim later said he intended to go after “those boys in blue,” referring to police.
