  • Operation Chokehold, how Obama does war against businesses he dislikes

Gun makers, payday loans companies, casinos, ammunition manufacturers, these are the target of Operation Chokehold, a abuse of the regulatory powers of the government.
We have talked about the need for regulation, this is stepping way over the line.
Threatening the ability of legitimate businesses from attaining loans to operate. This is the plan dreamed up by Obama and and his cronnies to wage war primarily on the firearms industry. Hawkins Firearms became an early target.
Tobacco farmers are another target of this draconian program, a program the President never intended for any of us to learn about Operation Chokehold and if not for the efforts of a few whistle blowers and Grassroots organizations we would not have.
I have never been an activist, but this is something we need to stand up and voice our opposition to.

Most payday loan companies are predators...the banks enable it by providing the credit and unauthorized debits to some illegal operations. Choke the out of them and prosecute.

Not sure why you wouldn't have a problem with banks permitting unauthorized debits from consumer accounts from 3rd party loan companies...but whatever gets the undies knotted..

However this is old news....it supposedly ended in January.

It's not old news, it's on the news today as several congressmen are taking action to stop it and to expose the harm done to pharmaceutical companies, firearms makers and other legitimate businesses. In fact the link from the Washingon Examiner is dated 5/25/15!
As with many programs carried out by this administration, they hide to true intentions behind a smoke screen. Everyone hates predatory lenders, so "we have a plan!" We will save you!
Just like the guns sold to Mexican Drug Cartels, but Operation Chokehold was as sinister as Nixons hate list as far more dangerous to the nation.
One of the targets were any group making donations to Republicsns, like the NRA.

The favorite cry of the Left: "It's so unfair...!" It's unfair the poor are poor. It's unfair that the stupid get taken. It's unfair...

The poor are often poor because they are stupid and lazy. Others take advantage of that. The Left ignores that reality replacing it with their vision of an imaginary utopia that will never exist.

Once again, expected behavior from the Muslim Anti-American president.

And thank you for watching Fox News and understanding why others watch it, too, when the rest of the media just sucks up to him.

Crash, maybe you should stick to being the CEO that you claimed to be. Current events and historical facts seem to be a problem for you to understand.

I'm not getting any "entitlements." (e.g., cash I didn't earn). Sure, I went to college on the GI Bill but I traded six years in the military as part of that contract to earn that benefit.
Same goes with my retirement. Earned return based on a contractual agreement.

When it comes to "something for nothing" (like Food Stamps, Welfare, EIC, WIC, and the like) it isn't the rich or the middle class reaping those freebies.
Even corporations don't generally get government handouts. That is, unless they are Progressive Leftist ones like the solar industry, battery car industry, and the like. Those companies couldn't make it without huge, continuous, government subsidies to prop up the fact that they are horribly unprofitable because their product(s) are

This tactic has been going on since at least 2013 that I know of, it started with the firearms manufacturers and expanded to other businesses that this administration does not approve of, it has not been stopped and will go on even after Congress is finished flapping their gums, rest assured.

It's not the preventing of firearm manufacturer and dealers from obtaining loans, it is the pressuring of the banking system to eliminate the ability to use the banking and credit card system for conducting business, period.

The fact that Payday Loans, Pawn Shops, and credit card companies charge loan shark rates is not the issue here. It is Obama pressuring the banks to stop providing banking services to legitimate businesses he wants to eliminate.

It seems that after winning his re-election bid, Obama has decided he is a can rule by executive order or Fiat.

I've been paying cash since I retired. I strongly recommend it to the rest of you.

For a business, that is not possible. They have to make purchases, meet payroll, pay bills, make credit card transactions, and deposit receipts. All that requires banking transactions of some kind be it debit card, credit card, or checking from their account.

Cash is the only current way to hide transactions from the Feds not requiring a background check or involving large sums.
